Otezla

My doctor has me on Colchicine and Otezla. My symptoms have eased, but I still get the ulcers. I just assume the medicine is helping somewhat. When I got my first ulcer on my tongue, the pain was so bad. Now, it still hurts, but not nearly as bad as it did.

Hello, I have had Behcet's for the past 18 years and usually respond to steroids, colchicine and Otezla. Having inner ear issues, antibodies and heart problems along with my major debilitating headaches. We can't seem to get them under control and doctor wants to try Humira.

I've also been on Otezla since August of 2023. I guess my question is how long did it take you to notice a difference on Otezla? Because I honestly don't know if it's doing anything for me and it's been several months now.

My doctor put me on Otezla for RA. I read where this drug is mainly for different types of Psoriasis. I have been on lt dor 2 weeks and my RAis getting worse. Anyone been prescribed this drug for RA and if so, is your RA getting better.?

I had been on Otezla for a year, and also stopped due to stomach upset. Using biologics effectively and finding the right match is still very new to me. I have two questions: 1. Has anyone had other success with other biologics with less side effects? 2.

I started Otezla on Oct 16th so I will see if this is effective then I can then decrease Sulfasalazine. The enthesitis Achilles Tendon is the most debilitating and frustrating because it makes it very difficult for me to walk.

Does anyone find taking Otezla is helpful for bechets or arthritis, or do you also have the side effects?

Recap the August test had NO biologic drugs taken and the November test I actually was taking the new drug which is a pill 2xs a day (otezla).

Did the treatment tour- UVB and UVA psoralen light treatment, methotrexate, otezla (apremilast) ...been stable and skin is clear on these biologic injections...no longer having to wear long sleeves and long trousers to cover up psoriasis patches.

I’m on Otezla and colchine and wondering if the headaches are a side effect of the otezla or a symptom of Behcet’s. And I’m wondering what I can take to help prevent and treat them since what I am currently doing is no longer effective. Any insight/advice would be appreciated :-)

Hi I just started otezla today. Has anyone had mouth ulcers for 8 months with no relief. I am so tired and frustrated.

Hi...I’m currently taking otezla, started about 5 wks ago. I had finished my menstrual cycle and it started again about 1 week after I had finished. Has this happened to anyone else taking this medication?

I’m on Otezla and very low dose (5mg) of lisinopril (blood pressure, ace inhibitor). Just wanted to see if it’s normal among others or if its worth scheduling a doctors appointment for! Thank you! -Nicolette

My Mayo Dr told me about Otezla and said that it has helped a lot of people IF they can tolerate it. It has a high chance of causing diarrhea. He said that Otezla is much safer than the Cellcept I am on it also requires no regular bloodwork and will also have no effect on my immune system.

Has anyone been put on Otezla? How did it help with your symptoms and management of them? Currently on imuran and getting toxic affects so this is the next one they want to try!

I am on Otezla for my ulcers. So far I haven’t had any ulcers while taking it. I have what looks to be a small ulcer on the back of my thigh. I do get skin inflammation and welts common in Bechets but this is the first ulcer type lesion I have gotten on my leg.

I get almost every complication that comes with Bechets, and have been put on Otezla which is an immunosuppressant they are trialing to prevent ulcers in those who have Bechets Disease. So far so good with treatments, as they are starting me off on mild medications to see how I react.

During all this time I was trying different biologics that you see on tv - Humira, Stelara, Cosentyx, Taltz and also Otezla which is a pill. Dr. are thinking now that my results with these drugs were skewed by the Prednisone i took.

Has anyone tried otezla ? I am going to start it soon and would love to know what symptoms it helped with.

Hi, I've just started taking Otezla for psoriatic arthritis (tried Methotrexate & Sulfasalazine but they didn't agree with me). Is anyone on Otezla and how's it going? Thanks
