Update on oestrogen treatment for non absorption of liothyronine. A warning!
This is because
oestrogen
blocks levothyroxin absorbtion.

Why isn’t body identical progesterone (Utrogestan) used to treat endometriosis? Surely it could help & less side effects than synthetic.
With the theory being that
oestrogen
stimulates endometriosis and progesterone suppresses it, why have I only ever been put on synthetic forms of progesterone? I’ve been on the contraceptive pill, depot provera, Mirena coil and Prostap injections.

IVF cancelled due to rising LH??
Hi all, So we’ve had another bit of bad news - our 5th round of IVF has been cancelled because my LH levels were too high and my
oestrogen
levels were not rising quick enough so our doctor said this would not be a ‘good round’ and therefore cancelled it.

Post op self injecting.
In the space of a month I've had an estrogen receptive breast cancer diagnosis, was operated on last Friday, didn't lose my breast, but I'm reeling with it all. I have been tired since the op but today I have crashed, my tinnitus is screeching, my balance is all to pot, I feel as sick as a dog and my

FDA approved drugs - is estrogen added, yet?
A blessing and curse of prostate cancer is it is often slow moving. The blessing and curse of the US FDA is it is always slow moving. What I can find on the status of transdermal estrogen for prostate cancer is it has not been approved (yet). If there is a newer FDA approved drugs list please let

Overwhelmed & tearful
Hello everyone, just reaching out for support. September was a rollercoaster for me. On the 2nd I was called for a follow-up mammogram + ultrasound which picked up a small lesion in my right breast...a biopsy was done the same day, a week later the result was an invasive ductal cancer. Things moved

Does anyone suffer with very swollen and painful forefingers, hands, wrists and knees?
I exercise far less than I used to as I’m less able to and also the detrimental effects after are terribly painful and I pay for it massively I’ve requested bloods and
oestrogen
testing and waiting patiently for rheumatoid referral but I’m clueless regarding what info I should be armed with ie; should

Update on recent consult with MSK docs , comments , suggestions welcome
In my recent consult with doctors at MSK in NY the doctors said they may still be able to “cure” my PCa . They said I will probably need radiation and 18 months of ADT plus Xytiga.I recently had a clean bone scan and a PSMA- PET showing no mets .It did show SVI but I’m still not sure if it is extra-

Has anyone tried progesterone cream after a hysterectomy?
As I think my endo has returned after my hysterectomy and my
oestrogen
levels are high, I was wondering if it’s worth trying natural progesterone cream to balance the
oestrogen
. Has anyone had any success with easing endo symptoms this way or am I wasting my time?

Mediterranean Diet Nutrients
New Italian paper below. [1] Mark Moyad has been saying for many years that "Heart-healthy is prostate-healthy." It is known that men with PCa have a higher risk for cardiovascular-related mortality - even if not on ADT - and that men with PCa often exhibit symptoms of the metabolic syndrome [MetS],

Ashermans, thin lining, low ovarian reserve, poor responder.. trying ivf one last time with donor sperm for possible surrogacy if lucky
I did a HRT challenge for 60 days after this to see if I could thicken the lining, but it didn’t change despite 8mg
oestrogen
orally a day.

Has anyone ever had empty follicle syndrome (EFS)? Trigger issues?
Oestrogen
levels before EC all lined up too and then I only got 2 eggs. I was devastated to say the least. Dr thinks trigger didn’t work properly and so eggs got stuck to wall of follicle. Apparently ovaries can get less receptive to the meds. We had done double trigger with pregnyl and ovidrel.

Switching from Tibolone to standard HRT
I then had a hysterectomy, so I am now moving from the Tibolone (which I’ve read helps your body to make
oestrogen
/progesterone) onto an
oestrogen
/progesterone patch (which gives your body the hormones). The doctor said to start using the patch and keep on the Tibolone but start weaning off it.

Endometrioma and FET? Help!
Hi all, I recently had a FET abandoned because of a 5cm endometrioma on my ovary, (never had one before) it started causing me pain when I started my estrogen (nothing major just dull aches). My nurse said to me I should wait to see if it goes with my period. My period never came and I was given norethisterone

Recommendations for keeping cool at night
Hi all, I’m 55 and have just hit menopause. I’m on oestrogel cream and utrogestan tablets to control my vertigo symptoms, which also means I’m not getting extreme menopausal symptoms. However, I do feel very hot at night and am having trouble sleeping. I have a tempur mattress (due to a back problem)

Perimenopause and worsening ADHD symptoms, anyone?
Any other Perimenopausal (I am 52) women who had managed their ADHD fine until this phase of life hit and now you are a trainwreck with worsening symptoms? There is research out there which points to Estrogen having a strong affect on ADHD, and that has been true for my life. My worst symptoms did

Hot flashes
It’s been eight months since my complete hysterectomy. My hot flashes and night sweats are terrible. Because of estrogen fed breast cancer and being on an estrogen blocker I’m wondering if I can get relief with anything? How long can I expect This to last?
