ecigs. i have been reading the posts on here and listening to the media coverage on this over the last couple of days with much dissmay
i was a smoker for over 40 years untill i picked up an ecig and havt gone back to ciggies since. we are all on this site to give up smoking. this product does exactly that! so why are people, the media and most importantly the nhs so negative about it. what we should be doing is lobbeying the goverment

My Quit September 2013
My Quit September 2013 My name is Ian. I have been smoking since I was around 17 years old. I’m now 39 which makes it around 22 years I’ve smoked. I have smoked many things in those 22 years, but it was mainly tobacco, around 20-30 roll-ups per day. I’ve had always enjoyed smoking. I actually liked

How bad is nicotine for you?
But I mean, if you can give up the cigarettes, which have all the thousands of nasty chemicalsan and terrifying health risks, etc. what are the health risks of just the
nicotine
? Say on a patch, an
inhalator
, lozenge etc.?

Interesting Treatments
I have been on this forum for a couple of months, and learned quickly that this is based in the UK. I'm over here in the States and can't help but notice all of the different treatments that people post about! I was diagnosed at the age of 7 back in 1980, but have had symptoms since birth. I have

Drs. Hasan & Yusuf Yazici @ colchicine (Colcrys)
A few months ago, rheumatologists Dr. Hasan Yazici (in Turkey, considered the world's expert in Behcet's) and his son Dr. Yusuf Yazici (runs the Behcet's Disease Clinic in New York City) taped an interview between themselves discussing Behcet's Disease and its current treatment. The YouTube tape

It is only my second day without cigarettes and I'm struggling. I have smoked for 60years and was diagnosed with copd 2years ago.
The question I want to ask is:- Has anyone else had problems with nicotine patches? They irritate my skin so much that it itches very badly. I want to try to persevere this time as I've tried to give up smoking before and I know the patches take away the craving but sometimes find the itching unbearable

e cigarettes are they the future for smokers
At first it was patches ,gum and lozenges for those that attempted escape from their nicotine addiction, it is now becoming e cigarettes that are taking this desperate market being persuaded that it is not necessary for them to quit as there are no dangers with this product. Other treatments for Behcet's
I don't see many people here mention that they've been on Trental (pentoxifylline) for Behcet's ulcerations, arthritis, and fatigue. It's inexpensive and has mild anti-TNFa properties like the biologics (Enbrel, Remicade, Humira, etc.), with fewer side effects and little risk. Low-dose nicotine patches

Has anyone else heard of nicotine patches to reduce symptoms ?
There seems to be some research done in Stockllom to support that nicotine in its pure form can have. Beneficial effects in. Parkinson . Has anyone tried them ? If so how is it? Soniadakini

A question for those using nicotine patches
Hullo! When it comes to the time where you should drop down to the smaller patches does it feel any different? Do you feel like the smaller amount of nicotine makes you crave cigs more, or send you into moods? I will be on my 8th week next week and I am really starting to get panicky about it :( xx

What is NRT?
Currently there are
nicotine
patches, gum, tablets, lozenges,
inhalator
, mouth spray and nasal spray. By using NRT, you are only getting the nicotine from the product, not the other 4,000 chemicals that are found in tobacco smoke.
