I saw a message that mentioned nicotine patches for pd. A French doctor had said it would help. I have lost the message. Could anyone out there tell me where it is. Thanks
Nicotine patch: I saw a message that... - Cure Parkinson's
Nicotine patch
I remember reading that for any benefit be felt 3 of the strongest patches had to used at any one time. If I remember correctly that is.
I have used the nicotine patch and it was very helpful, cleared depression I was more active and aware..there have been several trails and tests in Germany & USA....the same problem with every study we the people with Parkinsons never find out any results!! My brother (deceased) went into a nursing home in (with advanced PD) in a druged state did not recognize his own family, the neurologist or Doctor stated that he was heavily drug and prescribbed the nicotine patch, his mind cleared almost immediatley and starteed to talk to his family. When I asked my neurologist about the patch he stated that nicotine (smokers) delays the onset of Parkinson's. I had to stop the nictone patch because it increased the tremors and I became very hyper....like any drug everyone gets a different reaction. Michael Fox foundation also had a study on the patch.....there are so many studies with no results but the best avenue for you is to consult with your neurologist and start a tesst of your own, your family doctor will give you the prescription if it is necessary...beware it is expensive All the best Ryan12

Nicotine isn't a poison, SMOKING IS! Read up.. Most neurologists WILL NOT give any other recommendations besides BIG PHARMA drugs...
Try it, it definitely helps with brain fog!
