NeoMercazole

I’m currently on 10mg of Neomercazole, does these seem right for these results .

The first signs of thyroid dysfunction was hyperactive results, put on neomercazole and one month later the bloods showed everything had swung to hypo.

I’ve been prescribed Neomercazole which is the same as Carbimazole (I think) I start with 2 pills (5mg x 2) per day for 10 days and then 1 pill (5mg) per day for 3 months. Reassess after that.

Range 0-34 As the result GP prescribed Neomercazole 40mg a day for a month. Wouldn't it be a high dose to start with? Waiting for a scan and was promised to get referred to endocrinologist ( 3 months' wait at the moment).

I have been diagnosed with Graves Disease and need to decided whether to try take the meds Neo-Mercozol for 18-24months which I believe as a 50% chance of working or RAI. I am so confused. Has anyone had success on Meds? Has someone done RAI and wished they didnt?

Stopped neomercazole on 1st November. Do my thyroid bloods look ok? Ferritin 37 range(5-204). Serum folate 10.8 range(3-17.7). B12 477 range(187-883). TIA.

I have an overactive Thyroid and my new Endo has kept me on Neomercazole and added 200mg of Selenium daily with Vit D once a week to help with my overactive thyroid. Has anyone had any experience with Selenium?

(3.5-6.0) My dose of neomercazole was increased to 10mg twice a day with a blood test monthly and a wait and see approach.

Six years ago I was diagnosed with Graves disease and my endocrinologist put me on neomercazole. After 18 months I was told I was in remission. Fast forward until today & my Graves is back :( My query is to others who have relapsed?

My daughters blood results are good at the moment but she is only 18 and has been on Neomercazole for 18 months already. She will be staying on it for possibly another 18 months. Has anyone else been on Neomerc for this long and did it work? My last TFTs were T4 : 13.67 and TSH : 5.29.
