Stopping NDT cold turkey - how long till I experience symptoms?
Initially I thought the
NDT
worked but I also started testosterone therapy at a similar time and maybe it was this that really gave me relief - I need to know for sure I guess. Been off
NDT
for 2 weeks now and feel fine so far - how long for symptoms to really hit if they do?

Advice on blood test result
Hi, After receiving a result of the CC gene (rs225014) on a Dio2 test and getting nowhere via my GP and a paper referral to an endocrinologist I decided to use
ndt
(thyroid s) on 16/12/22. Started on half grain for ten days, then one grain for 28 days and then one and a half grains.

Testing on NDT or T3 or Combo
I had never heard of this before until about a year ago even though I've been on
NDT
for almost 30 years but I had to do this for a private endo who is on the TUK list and he immediately told me to reduce my medication based on this alone (my T3 was 8.2).

Light sensitivity - hypo or hyper? Taking Armour.
My ft3 was 63% and ft4 39% on Sunday (24 hours after taking my dose of
NDT
) I think I have it on a higher dose, but not 100% certain. Does anyone have it or had it? Were you hypo or hyper? Thank you x

Can we purchase T4 in UK without a prescription?
I swopped from Thyroid S to Bitiron in October because it just didn't suit me and cannot afford Armour or any of the other well known
NDT
which I haven't had problems with previously.

NDT plus T3
My question is should I be lowering my
NDT
by 1/2 grain and adding 6.25mcg of T3. Although I felt well on my previous dose my FT4 was always near the top range. Someone on the site called Jim stated that a high FT4 is not good, so I wondered if adding this may help in the future.

HCI & D3 timing
I read on this community to take Vit D3 4hrs after
NDT
. I just started HCI and want to know, if there is a time frame to take the HCI in relation to the D3 Because it is fat soluble I, only, take my D3 1x/wk (week's worth) so it will be an issue once a week.

NDT medication
Hello All, I don't want to break any forum rules or guidance. I am beginning to feel so desperate that I will obtain some Armour/thyroid s to try and get myself sorted out since the NHS medical route is in a dead end. If possible could anyone with experience of self medicating/buying this sort of medication

NDT symptoms - heavy anckles
I’m experimenting with
ndt
and am at 1-1.25 grain of s-thyroid and have a constant swollen feeling of ankles - like heavy bits the weirdest thing. My temps and pulse has gone up but this is bugging me. Any insights? Thanks.

Which should I increase Levo or NDT.
However, I not sure if I should up my levo or my
NDT
, as if I up my
NDT
it may increase my T3 too much and I get awful symptoms , and the
NDT
tablets are a nightmare to cut. Where as T4 will convert to T3 but not give me that fast increase to T3 like
NDT
.

New results
So after 8 weeks on 50mcg levo, 1 grain (60mg)
NDT
, and 10mcg T3 I have new results and I have to say I'm pretty surprised! I've always needed high T4 to feel well but I feel better than I have in ages on this dose... Dare I say, pretty much 'back to normal' ...

NDT Users - do you take your NDT all in one go or split dose?
I'm just trying
NDT
and hate the idea of splitting it because I'm supposed to avoid food during the daytime then. My chaotic schedule does not allow for me to always eat at the same time so this is a big problem for me.

Burnt tongue sensation
For quite a while now I've had this burnt tongue sensation and I think it's linked to the
NDt
but not certain. Some days it's much worse than others . Has anyone else had the same "reaction" ? Perhaps it's not the
NDt
at all but none of my other medication had changed

Is it dangerous if FT3 goes over range? On ERFA NDT only.
My last consultation with private Endo in November was we agreed I stay on 2 grains daily, split 7.00am 2.00pm. Although nearing top of FT3 range he felt there was still a bit of room if it continued to rise and also wanted to see if my main symptoms, constipation and poor quality sleep improved. In

I'm pretty certain I don't convert levo hence the
NDT
. I am unsure if I can actually afford this med, and moving forward I'm certain I won't be able to in the future, so what then? Levo made me ill, it's such a worry.

PC drug with least side effects
After 2 years on ADT I must go to a stronger medicine. I am castrate resistant with one small met by the pelvis. Doc suggests Xthandi but I would appreciate any suggestions on anything easier. The SE scare the hell out of me

app to track symptoms
just started with ADT etc. stage 4 either A or B the docs can’t agree radiation to be in a few months. In the meantime I want to track how I feel both physically and mentally, and see there are several phone apps that claim to do this. Can people share their experience using any of these apps and recommend
