NDT plus T3

I am back on my new batch of Thyroid s and it seems to be working this time. My question is should I be lowering my NDT by 1/2 grain and adding 6.25mcg of T3. Although I felt well on my previous dose my FT4 was always near the top range. Someone on the site called Jim stated that a high FT4 is not good, so I wondered if adding this may help in the future. I am taking 2.25 grains per day without a thyroid.

Good to hear that the new batch is working well.

As for your doses, all you can do is try, see what works for you. Combo thyroid hormone replacement is all about tweaking doses and trial and error.

I am starting to tweak it's not a logical process but one of constant learning, thank you. Will test bloods in early January.

So pleased you are back on Thyroid S, which batch are you on?

I think I seem better on Thyroid S than TR Mann. OnTR Man I took 2 grains, and now seem to mange fine on 1 grain of Thyroid S. Now because of constant toothache, which seems unrelenting even though the dentist has taken X-rays a plenty and can't find a problem. There could be a link to low T3 as I have read on this site and on the internet, so am going to add some T3 to the mix.
