hi. I have hashimoto and for the last 10 years have been on t4 only meds -100 mcg eurothyrox. I’m experimenting with ndt and am at 1-1.25 grain of s-thyroid and have a constant swollen feeling of ankles - like heavy bits the weirdest thing. My temps and pulse has gone up but this is bugging me. Any insights? Thanks.

NDT symptoms - heavy anckles
Hello Two months ago you were taking 2 grains per day. What made you drop your dosage? I have a feeling you might simply be under-dosed now.
I went too fast to 2 grains and went hypo. I then went back and started from the beginning as per the guidelines, from 1/2 a grain to 1.25. I tried 1.5 the other day but it didn't suit me. So Im still struggling with getting comfortable with ndt and the food which I now need more of. does everyone go upto 2 grains or is for some 1-1.5 enough? just wondering as saw dr. brownstein treated Hashimoto patients with 0.75 and iodine so wondering... also, the timing, if you dose twice, would 7 am and 1pm be suitable or 7 am and 3 pm or is it all individual?
Years ago I had what I described as 'heavy legs'. I was taking Erfa at the time. This improved when I changed to a different NDT. Presumably one of the excipients in the pills disagreed with me. Excipients are defined as 'inactive' substances!
