Advanced and aggressive Pca
I just need to hear some stories from those of you who have advanced pca with high psa. I’ve posted a few times in here about my father but I’ll do a quick update. Wishing everyone a better 2021
Hi everyone, I wish everyone a wonderful 2021 and hope all our PSA's reduce or at least go down next year. For me, the COVID-19 2020 has been a good opportunity to get my APCa treatments out of the way. 12 months ago I prepared to go in for my prostate biopsy and TURP. I went in on 24 Dec 19 and

My dad (79, no comorbidities) has prostate cancer. He was diagnosed just over four years ago 4+3=7. He was not operated (we do not live in the US and standards of medicine are much lower here). His only theraphy was hormone one - first casodex (bicalutamide) and now eligard every six month. Six months

Great news, I can stop taking Lupron
My Oncologist told me today that based on my latest PSA reading (0.01) and scan results, to hold off having my next Eligard shot next month to see what happens to my PSA level. Effectively active surveillance. It was music to my ears, he told me to go on vacation 👏👏👏👏. 12 months ago I went to the

PSA after restarting ADT
I restarted ADT with Eligard on August 31 2020 when my PSA was 0.453 and Testosterone 147. Today my PSA is 0.266 and Testosterone < 20. When I started Lupron + Casodex in November 2018 my PSA was 4.48, which dropped to 0.17 in just three months. This time, why the rate of PSA drop is much slower? During

Nubeqa anyone?
Hi, I'm in Stage Four PC since 2013. Original PC diagnosis was Nov. 1999. I've been on Lupron for years with add-ons of Casodex, Xtandi and Zytiga. Presently on Zytiga (1000 mgs daily). Along the way I have had Brachi, Prevenge and some blind clinical trials. Here is my question: my MOC is thinking of

Would it work when we go back to the old treatment again? Your input would be appreciated.
I am asking this question as I am curious as to whether or not the old treatment is workable after you have used up all other treatments. For example, Lupron and Casodex (frontline) were used at first diagnosis. After all other treatments like zytiga, xstandi, etc. are castration-resistant, would it

PSA back on the rise - or hitting Nadir?
Hi everyone. I'm hoping to tap back into the wisdom of this crowd. First DX in 2009 with Gleason 3+4/PSA 3.7. Had HDR Brachy and Low-Dose EBRT with Casodex. All good (nadir of 0.11) for 6 years, then BCR. I started Prostap injections \= \\bicalutamide 50 mg in Jan 2020 when PSA was >5. A sudden drop

Want to learn about lupron and casodex
I have been doing watchful waiting for 15 years. My Urologist did a TURP operation and the pathology said gleason 3/5. My Doc wants me to do Casodex to start. I have read that any kind of T deprivation can cause weight gain, man boobs, lethargy and heart problems. I have always been a skinny hyper active

clinical trial UK
Husband diagnosed with APC in 2017 aged 49 yrs. Been through chemo, casodex, abiterone. PSA now rising after 10 months on Xtandi. Oncologist has suggested he is a good candidate for a clinical trial where his original samples are sent to USA for profiling. Unfortunately I was not able to be at this appointment

My husband's experience with Xtandi
I wanted to share my husband's recent experience with Xtandi (go to my profile and see my first post if you want the whole back story). At the first of this year his PSA started rising on Lupron + Casodex. In April he was put on Abiraterone + Prednisone, and after three months of continued rising PSA

How's your whiskers after ADT?
I've been on Casodex and Eligard for about 10 months now. My beard has virtually stopped growing and my skin is pushing out ingrown hairs. I was wondering how others on ADT are fairing with their whiskers, 🤔 DD.

Our Saga so far...and an observation about quality of care
I've been lurking here for a couple of years but it's time for me to introduce myself and offer up our experiences so far. Please excuse the length of my story! My husband was diagnosed in the summer of 2016 at age 60 with advanced metastatic disease. It took over five months to find out what was going
