Hello, My doctor wants me to take
Multaq
for atrial fibrillation. Has anyone had bad side effects from taking it? I am a little nervous to start it because I am sensitive to medications.

Pulse Field Ablation
Suggested I could continue with
Multaq
, or try stopping and see what happens, or switch to Propafenone. Anybody had any experiences with
Multaq
vs. Propafenone? I think until I get an ablation I will try and stay on an antiarrhythmic or? Confusing....

Proper Drug for My Wife and Efficacy of an Ablation
A few days later she was successfully electro cardioverted, but was back in AFib 5 days later Her EP put her on
Multaq
, and two days later she reverted to NSR, but had to stop taking the drug because of swelling in her ankles and feet.

Dronedarone(Multaq) and lungfibrosis
As a teenager suffered from pulmonary sarcoidosis which healed up after 15 years leaving me with a slight restriction of my lung function. During the years up to recently (approx. 60 years) I have had had a few bouts of bronchitis every year. Always treated with antibiotics. My PAF started in 2003

Dronedarone(Multaq) The good and the bad.?
Am curious to know the experiences of others taking this drug. Hav e been on it for more than three years now with diminishing effect on my PAF. Breakthroughs every 10 to 20 days with an AF duration of about 6 to 7 hours which I help to abort by then taking Bisoprolol 2,5 mg which reduces my heart rate

😞 IT’S BACK
He put me back on my
Multaq
yesterday. I’m having an EKG done Monday and if my rate isn’t better by Tuesday he is talking cardioversion. I am scared to death of that procedure I know many of you have had it were you afraid? Do they actually stop your heart first or do it with your heart beating?

Multaq
Hi everyone, I started
Multaq
(dronederone) on Wednesday with the intention of being cardioverted Friday. Cardioversion was cancelled as staff off unwell but been told to continue with new meds. I’m very worried as it says in leaflet only to take if being cardioverted and if u can go into NSR.

FINALLY
I was put on a very strong steroid and taken off
Multaq
and Metropolol. Going off of those and on something so strong it’s only once a day did a number on me. I went back into a fib with 125+ pulse rates and low oxygen.

Ablation Scheduled for July
Presently taking Eliquis and
Multaq
(400mg 2/day) My cardiologist suggests ablation in an effort to get off the meds and prevent it worsening.

Good news I am in perfect sinus rhythm and have already been removed from
Multaq
. as of today. I have been very down because I am still having issues breathing and walking with the same type of symptoms including pressure on my chest. Dr.

Six weeks later. SUCCESS
PS I am already off one of my medication
Multaq
It may be six months or more possibly up to a year but eventually I may be off medication. This seems to be one of the few procedures that seem close to a cure but there still is no cure for a fib.

Happy New Year
I used to be on
Multaq
and Sotalol among other drugs. For anyone still suffering from AF please do not despair. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I suffered AF for 4 years before undergoing my cryoablation. If you are a suitable candidate, my recommendation is to go for it.

Lower Dose of Multaq?
Does anyone deviate from the standard dose of 400 mg twice a day? Half a pill and/or once a day? Does it lower your energy level? I was just prescribed it. From what I've been reading it scares me. I stay pretty active: work out at a gym five mornings a week etc. I'm not willing to lose my fitness level

Multaq aka Dronedarone, 400mg twice daily recommend by electrophysiologist (EP)
I plan to follow his recommendation but wondering if others have had good luck with
Multaq
. Also wonder if Metoprolol has given any symptoms. Cost is not a consideration.

New start on Dronedarone
•I just had the Dronedarone (
Multaq
) delivered today and the second warning is Do not take
Multaq
if your heart rate is less than 50 beats a minute. I am now feeling pretty anxious, mine often drops to 40 something during the night.

AF and Autoimmune disease, hypothyroidism
Cardiologist said I had a conflict with medications and put me on
Multaq
, which I had a hard time tolerating. Am now on Propafenone (as needed) which doesn't seem to do anything to put me back in NSR. I feel like I am walking on egg shells, trying not to go revert back in a fib.
