Multaq

My doctor changed my medication to Multaq 2/day. Does Multaq stop recurrence of afib or just lessen the occurrences and if also how toxic is it for the liver. Does it have any other side effects

Hi everyone, just looking your thoughts , i take bisoprolol and multaq, my chadsvasc score is 0 but next may changes to 1, when first diagnosed was given bisop as pill in pocket , then upped to smaller 1.25mg daily along with multaq 2x400 per day, what are your thoughts on returning to bisoprol plus

Switch to MULTAQ After not being able to tolerate SOT A. LOL. Has anyone had Any experience with this drug. Very expensive in the US.

Did anyone stop Multaq . Did you have to be weaned off it or just stop. I am taking ruxolitinib for MPN and multaq is causing a reaction.

I have been taken Multaq and Diltiazem that minimize episodes to tolerable levels. Now I am told that my Echo showed mild leaking aortic and tricuspid heart valves along with grade 1 left ventricle diastolic dysfunction .

Hi all Is anyone else on Bisoprolol alongside Dronenadrone (Multaq)? The Multaq has been very successful to date at reducing my AF burden to 2% or less every week measured via Apple Watch Series 8.

No impact on the liver from the Multaq. Side effects: ankle swelling from the amlodipine which has now gone. Reduced HR from Multaq by circa 5-8 bpm. Additional reduction in HR from bisoprolol by another 8-10 bpm. Feeling cold in the evenings (known bisop effect).

Been on 400mg of Multaq bid for a month now and have had few issues with it so far but what I have noticed is that an hour or so after taking it I become extremely fatigued to the point I have to lie down for a nap. Is this something others have experienced?

considering seeing multaq but need cardioversion or ablation? Would be Interested in others experiences? 80 - i great health - no meds except eluquus - ago becoming more persistent

Started me on multaq and now episodes every 3 weeks, actually in af now for second day. My INR is 2.3 so can I wait until 7 days before going for the dreaded cardioversion?

I’m on dronedarone (Multaq) and 2.5 bisoprolol. Since starting the Multaq I’ve not had any further SVT. Since starting the bisop I’ve only had occasional ectopics and of those I’ve identified the triggers. 4. Wearable tech - my consultant and GP are both huge fans of the Apple Watch.

After unsuccessful Cardioversion to convert back into NSR was diagnosed with permanent afib taken off of Multaq. Lopressor increased from 25 to 100 am and 50 pm. Also on Eliquis. Vision is blurred and very unsteady gait.

My EP has recommended Multaq as a new one to try. The list has been long of what we have tried and failed. I am so, so sensitive to meds. I am nervous. I seem to have either terrible side effects or it makes my rhythm worse. Not sure what to expect. Thoughts on your experience?

Have been on multaq about a month and truly don’t like it,indigestion,fatigue,hot flushes,sun intolerance,just feeling sicklish.i have two questions,first,did anybody experience he same and if yes,does it get better with time?

Taken off Multaq and on Lopressor 100 am & pm plus eliquis. Told ablation would more than likely not be successful. Should I get a second opinion. Do not feel that great when I am in afib

So for the first six years I was on low dose diltiazem and one standard aspirin. for the last four years I was put on Multaq and Eliquis. Multaq kept me in NSR for about a year and then progressively became ineffective.

I was considering ablation but decided to wait to see if the Multaq would help. Multaq is expensive along with the Eliquis. I work out pretty hard for an hour or more 3-5 days per week and feel that’s a big key for me with an avg heart rate over 120 bpm.

I have had AFib for 11 years did well on Multaq for the last 7 and all of a sudden it stopped working.

Has anyone taken this medication and if so how did it work for you?

2- if some of you on Multaq , have you attempted to get off it and if yes have your frequency and severity of episodes increased ?
