Hi everyone I've recently been prescribed this medication due to severe constipation as a side effect of chemotherapy and all the associated drugs that go with it. I already suffer with chronic constipation so I take prucalopride , which now isn't effective alone 😔 my question is how many sachets do

Combining Medication
My 8yr old son has been on
Movicol
for 2 years now. It seemed to work with regard to making his stools smaller, but he still has accidents 3-4 times a week and still has no sensation of doing it.

2.5 year old, suddenly bedwetting
My gp agrees the bedwetting is likely due to impacted faeces & has prescribed
movicol
. Initially 2 sachets followed by 1 sachet per day until she experiences 4-5 reliably soft bowel movements, then to wean down.

How to get large doses of movicol into child
We are really struggling, so we managed 4 sachets yesterday, and today she's had like Mr whippy type poops. Today is first lot of 6 sachets and I'm not sure how we are going to fot them in her she is really struggling and I'm doing it so it's the least fluid possible by putting into milk as in juice

Treating constipation hasn't affected the wetting accidents
Since being on
movicol
, he has more poo accidents than he ever had and his wee accidents are just the same, so it's like he is doubly incontinent now.

5 year old poo witholder - how to reduce maintenance dose without going backwards???
Maintenance dose of 3 sachets of
movicol
. We have just moved GP surgery and GP has suggested to reduce the dose down. I said I'm not keen on reducing the dose down without some good advice first, and would like to ask some questions.

Is there a shortage of the plain Movicol in the UK?
We ended up getting lemon and lime as pharmacist only had that and chocolate. Son can detect the flavour so is not drinking as much as he should. Can see him refusing as I have to increase the dosage.😠Is the plain one really flavourless?

Movicol/colonoscopy prep for IBS relief
Hi all, I have predominantly IBS-D but occasionally I have bouts of horrific IBS-C (I can go up to a week without any bowel movements). This is accompanied by horrific bloating/acid reflux and uncontrollable eggy gas. It can go from a few days to months. I’ve had to be signed off work before because

Incomplete evacuation and straining
I resort to
Movicol
and herbal laxatives once or twice a week. Has anyone any useful tips from experience about how they overcame straining? It's so hard to think of other things with terrible abdominal pain which disappears instantly if I manage to have a bowel movement.

things that help NAFLD
All these help with brain fog, bloating, gas, stomach pain and help to open your bowel too and well as the most natural thing liquorice, yes liquorice, the doctors tried everything to help a friend giving her tablet after tablet,
movicol
etc and nothing working until I told her about the liquorice, now

Help towards my IBS Story and Gaining Weight
I also seem to cycle between being constipated and being more loose, so I fluctuate between taking laxido/
Movicol
and simeticone as it seems to be the only thing that kind of helps that I've tried (also tried Husk, fibogel), without it I become completely bloated.

or is it a blockage or something else? Thanks in advance!
