Combining Medication

My 8yr old son has been on Movicol for 2 years now. It seemed to work with regard to making his stools smaller, but he still has accidents 3-4 times a week and still has no sensation of doing it. We were given Senakot by the hospital to use to flush him out, but since using this for a week (5ml per day), his accidents have stopped but his stools have doubled in size.... Can we give both medications together? This seems to be going for so long and no end in site. My son is becoming quite down about it all...

LookingForward123 Macrogol and Stimulant laxatives can be used together under the guidance of a health care professional. Stimulant laxatives should not be introduced until stools are reliably soft.
