Ibs - constipation
She gave me duphalac (think that’s how you spell),
movicol
, buscopan and colpermin. Buscopan was amazing and takes the pain away in literally 15 mins. Colpermin also works wonders for me and gives off a lovely peppermint smell and taste!

I'm new. Nearly 8 year old son constipation issues
We have then been prescribed
Movicol
one a day until poo is 'normal' again. It always ends up back where we started. He wont go at school as he is scared of being locked in the toilets. Tonight he has been crying with agony and he has been bent over double with pain (we've had this many times).

Got a bit weepy after urology clinic yesterday...
We got 'will probably grow out of it, step up the Tolterodine and take
Movicol
, come back in 6 months'. I held it together in the office, but when we got outside I got quite upset. Hadn't realised just how much hope I had pinned on this appointment. I know many of you will know how I feel.

Problems with school not understanding
He is on
Movicol
for constipation but not sure it has helped! He has never had a dry night. He has just started year 1 but the teachers still don't seem to understand his issues despite me explaining over and over.

Private treatment for chronic constipation/soiling
Our son has been on
Movicol
for almost a year and has a soft bowel movement daily (4 on the Bristol chart usually), but slips multiple times a day. The soiling is "classic" overflow (really dark, gritty, sticky, foul-smelling, impossible to clean) and this seems to be worsening.

Prolapsed uterus - bowel movement?
I am not the functional when it comes to my bowels for which I take Docusate sodium 200mg twice daily and she gave me a prescription for pesseries (the which I have not needed) and
movicol
to be taken twice daily. I've had to stop all because I am constantly pooing.

Three Year Old Doing Frequent But Incomplete Bowel Movements (But He's Not Impacted). Any Ideas?
However he's been on
Movicol
for around 2 years now and we are still experiencing this problem. The
Movicol
changes the consistency of the poo, but he is still doing a ridiculous number of bowel movements per day - usually around 8, but it can be as many as 20.

Help!!!!!
Ok so my son is on day 5 of 12 sachets of
movicol
tomorrow. I got bisocodyl suppositories from the GP today and he tried one tonight....nothing🙁 I’m also giving him Senna once a day. I can’t use picasulphate as it causes his gastritis. He’s totally blocked, nothing is coming out.

Frustrated and worried
What has made things worse my son is starting to show signs where I need to look at increasing the
movicol
. Can a child get used to a particular dose of
movicol
? I just need to get this of my chest. I'm scared all the bad behaviour is going to come back and everything else that goes with it.

New arrival but old and new issues dbs, cbd oil, constipation, Kemadrin
Constipation is a big issue as the dosage of
Movicol
combined with Senekot does not work consistently and PD medication on time reduces from 3 hours down. I am considering a home enema kit as I seem to be permanently constipated. Anyone tried an enema kit?

Movicol impaction making no difference?? What do If its behavioural
Any one find
movicol
didn't fix the problem? 5 year old never pooed in toilet. Currently been doing impaction and it's had no effect in that he still has not done a poo in the toilet. His poo is now like brown gravy with bits in.

Son (12)...Feeling queasy...
My son is only on one sachet of
movicol
a day. However, if we occasionally mess up and he doesn’t have his
movicol
for two days he immediately starts wetting again, the GP says this is fine? We did did impaction regime a year ago. GP refused to refer him. Am concerned.

Mega poo problems since heatwave
She also takes a maintenance dose of one sachet of
movicol
a day which usually gives her a perfect poo once a day. However.... since this hot weather ( about 4 weeks now roughly), her poo has been horrendous!!!!

3 year old withholding
Hi- my 3 year old has been withholding her poo for a year now, she’s on
movicol
which makes her go but she never wants me to change her out of her soiled pants. She’s happy to sit in it. I don’t know if she’s embarrassed.

Overactive bladders
We’re managing it with oxybutynin,
Movicol
and senakot. We have drier spells and wetter spells depending on how things are going. Anyway, I was chatting to my lovely hairdresser on Saturday and happened to mention our situation. Turns out she has an overactive bladder and has always had it.
