Dyskinesia
Hi, I am a long term sufferer from PD (15yrs) and take regular doses of Madopar and mucuna. My mornings are manageable but early and late evenings I experience terrible dyskinesia after which I feel totally drained. Has anyone found something that would benefit me please?

Advice needed
I've now been diagnosed with osteoporosis on top of my Parkinson's. I'm on Madopar for it and now have an appointment through for an iv Zilendronic infusion at the end of this month. I already have joint pain and tremors so am worried if this will make it worse. My doctor just said to stop worrying!

Hi, my husband has just been diagnosed with PSP (June 2019). We've been extremely lucky that the Occupational Health Team, Physio, Speech & Language Therapist and Parkinson's Nurse have all visited us and been extremely helpful. It's all a bit daunting at the moment, and we're very up and down. He can

Life has returned to me.
I introduced controlled release
modopar
in feb this year and it works in synergy (as Dr C recomends) with B1. I signed off from my physio yesterday for 5 month break and he commented on how well i had done- what did i credit my amazing results too.

Going Downhill
Hi Hope you have all had a good Christmas and New Year. Alan had a UTI just before Christmas and it has brought him down dreadfully. I keep hoping he will improve but he just wants to sit in his chair, his speech has got much worse, he eats very little and so slowly and he doesn't want to go out at

THIS FORUM IS VERY interesting and the alternative treatments (other than
modopar
or sinemet) give us a little hope . Would it be possile to sort out the different experience s and calculate the percentage of success of a product .

Neupro review
I try again: who has used Neupro in the uncomplicated phase of PD and wants to share his/her experience? I could not tolerate Sinemet or Madopar, even with extra Carbidopa. I have built up Neupro till 8 mg now. It helps with anxiety, stiffness, but not much on my tremor.

Am getting ON pretty quickly but dropping off about 1hr ish before next dose... Also take 200 mg cr sinemet at night up 2 3 50mg dispersable madopar and 100mg adamantine.

Stalevo
Hi all. My neurologist has changed my Madopar (3/4 tablet 5 times per day, 4 hourly) to Stalevo, 1 tablet qid. Since the switch I have been struggling and feel I need an extra tablet. Does anyone have experience in Stalevo? Would you mind letting me know the dosage you are following and how helpful it

Prolopa dosing
I live in the US and use carbidopa/levodopa and am familiar with it's dosing protocols. My mother in law lives in El Salvador and takes Prolopa which is levodopa and benserazide (instead of carbidopa). I understand that Prolopa and Madopar are essentially the same. We just visited my mother in law and

More from Gods notebook...
4.6. Twice as effective We have seen that the Mucuna seed extract naturally contains levodopa. If we quantify and compare it to the same dose of synthetic levodopa contained in tablets of Sinemet (or Madopar), we find that levodopa from Mucuna is approximately twice as powerful in controlling parkinsonian
