Is this an usual symptom?
I wrote about this about a year ago and didn't hear much from the community but I'm still slightly quizzical over some thing that is increasing for me yet classically isn't declared as being one the symptoms of PD. I have been on azilect and reuip and have now added a small does of Madopar to the mix

Holding Out
I held out for 6 years. My poor old school but good man neurologist thought I was taking them. I was in a quandry because I needed some meds in 2016 but needed the lower starting doses that he put me on years back in 2013 and an up to date review. Diagnosed in 2010 btw. So he retired suddenly. I went

Can you function when "off"?
Hi all I posted a few threads lately. I was dxed with YOPD 2 years ago. I take my meds (Dispersable Madopar 62.5mg/Rasalagine 1mg at 6am)(Stalevo 100mg) at 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm and 10pm... They normally kick in after 30 mins then wear off after 2 hrs so I have an hour and half "off" time before I can

Will be seeing them in a few weeks' time. In the meantime, have been on Madopar since being

Pd, prostate and back
Hi I've had pd 15 years. Had back decompression operation March 2017, further back operation August 2017. Had them done privately, mainly because NHS in UK makes no concessions to my pd, refuses to treat the whole person and wouldn't let my wife give me strictly-timed pd drugs. To add to my problems

A question for JohntPM.
Morning John, I'm not sure if you are a medical person or a statistician so ? ( I absolve you completely from any results that occurred either good or bad) So following on from my previous post about my reducing Rotigotine ...... I reduced the patches by about 10% in size , and in less than 48 hrs

I can smell
Haven't had a sense of smell for years now. Then last week I started to smell things again first it was perfume the other I day took the lid off the jar of vicks chest rub and I could smell it. The only thing that I've done that's different is to start taking CoQ10. I'm on 4 x Madopar 125 a day.

Father (84) - just diagnosed. What to expect.
My father is pretty fit for his age (still plays golf a couple of times a week). He has had hand tremors for several years, but has developed more symptoms over the last year. He has had several falls, he has developed a stoop and bends to one side, some co-ordination difficulties, occasional word finding
