My answer to Mastectomy
I was self conscious immediately after my Mastectomy but as I got used to it I noticed, in the pool, no one even noticed it. The biggest hurdle was Tamoxofin and its side effects. It did put me in touch with my feminine side.

Double vs single mastectomy
Hi There I went through chemo, single mastectomy and now going through radiation. Path reports came back clear after surgery, doing radiation as a precaution. 6 mos from now I am getting reconstruction. Still have option to get other breast removed if I want, even though there is no cancer there. Any

Still in a quandary 😐
Hello, lovely people! I'm not sure if you can help, but I don't know what to do for the best?! I posted about a month ago, I think? When I had extreme fatigue... I went back up to 5mg from 4mg & instantly felt better! But the euphoria was quite short lived 😕 About a week? I then made an executive decision

Advice please!
Hi I have had PMR for many years now and I am sure it is stress related. Almost a year ago I had to have a total hip replacement due to avascular necrosis. The femoral head had disintegrated and I am now a mix of titanium, porcelain and cement. Unfortunately the op left me with sacroilitis and the PMR

Feeling Worried
Had mastectomy 18/12 ( Grade 2 ER neg. Her pos. one positive node ) MRI before surgery found no problems. Wound infection (skin only ) Seroma. Infection pretty much cleared with penicillin type antibiotic which I took for ten days... really felt ill with that. No appointment with Oncologist yet. Apparently

Fat.
I began writing this yesterday after seeing the Daily Mail headline: - "Fatty Western diets make prostate cancer more aggressive" This from a newspaper that advised men to drink flaxseed oil to avoid PCa. Ugh! After a while, I became weary of the subject & the stupidity of the media, so listened to

Lap on Thursday - very anxious!
Hi all, I think I’ve bored everyone now, but my lap is on Thursday and am scared shitless!! I will have complete excision (except bowels if they are affected) and partial cystectomy because the endo pierced my bladder badly! I’m scared of being out for many hours, of the catheter pain, of having a bag

Reducing Pred and taking other tablets.
Been to see rheumatologist today for all my test results post PMR diagnosis end of Dec17. Disappointed that the Biopsy for GCA is positive. But ESR has come down ‘significantly’ so the plan she had suggested is to reduce Pred from current 40mg to 20mg by the time I see her again in April. I. Worried

So I think this may be farewell......
Hello folks. I have had the awaited rheumy appt. It took me completely by surprise. I went wanting support coming off pred, and information on possible consequences. Balanced of course with the benefits to my diabetes, bi-polar and weight. I got the support to come off pred......because he was sure I

Hello! I'm Linda from Seattle; diagnosed with Stage IV with bone mets after 17 years. My original cancer was stage 1; very small tumor in right breast; I opted for double mastectomy and had no sign of cancer in sentinel nodes on both sides, nor in remaining breast tissue following removal of both breasts

Hi my name is Patricia and I was diagnosed with breast cancer stage 2. I has a mastectomy on my right in 11/20/17 and started my chemo today. It went good except that I notice I urinate way to much. To all of you I pray that we all overcome this awful disease. Thanks for input but I would like to know

Second time around.
I had lymphoma 18 years ago and went through a very aggressive chemo treatment, R-CHOPl and was completely cured. Two years ago after months of a pesky cough and a caring, medical savy nurse friend brought me to her clinic and got a chest Xray which showed a mass in my right lung. A biopsy showed it
