Marijuana treatment for epilepsy

This is by way of an addendum to my earlier post on peripheral neuropathy and hemp oil.

I have read in the last couple of days that a medical marijuana company in Canada is working on a treatment for epilepsy in juveniles and in trials currently under way is having some success. The fact that gabapentin, used in treating peripheral neuropathy, is an anti-epileptic drug, encourages me in my thinking that the hemp oil/cannabis derivatives have potential usefulness in treating peripheral neuropathy.
