Ugh! Questionable advice from surgeon about endo returning post excision surgery
He said he doesn’t think it’s endo related but wants to give me more hormones to shut my cycle down completely (already have the
mirena
coil), he said it might adenomyosis and he even said he’s not sure if any one of my previous symptoms were due to the endo despite them all vanishing after my op and

Fed up/ angry 😡
So had my post op appointment today with my surgeon , who carried out my laparoscopy 3 months ago.. I tried to ask questions.. like why is my pain worse now than it was prior my op? .. his response was 'well I removed the Endo so you shouldn't be in pain' .. I then went on to express that I have to take

Mirena for heavy periods
Hello, I had the
Mirena
coil fitted 4 months ago for heavy periods, with fibroids and adenomyosis. I had to wait a year to get a gynecology appointment, and had a hysteroscopy, and the
Mirena
fitted at the same time.

Whirlwind emotional rollercoaster
I have the
mirena
and I’ve been in horrendous pain over the weekend so they send me to a&e for possible ectopic pregnancy. I do another urine sample when I get to a&e. Negative.

Mirena coil moved, strings missing, possible surgery needed to remove.
I’m beyond furious about this as I’ve asked three times if
mirena
is in the correct position and was told yes each time. Even though when I got a glimpse of my latest mri images I did think to myself “The
mirena
looks way too high up and too close to my spine”. Has this happened to anyone else?

Ashermans, thin lining, low ovarian reserve, poor responder.. trying ivf one last time with donor sperm for possible surrogacy if lucky
After many years of having a
Mirena
coil for heavy periods, my then partner and I decided to start to try for a baby. I thought it was strange that when I had the coil out my periods remained just as light as when I had it in.

Thought it was under control after years of multiple serious surgeries and diet changes but now facing new battles - any advice welcome
I still had the
mirena
coil in and continued with the diet. I still experienced symptoms but it wasn’t to the extreme of being hospitalised and having surgeries and I learned to live with it.

Beginning the journey
Her treatment options were to have a baby right now, have the
mirena
coil or go into a period of medically induced menopause with a trial of injections. I walked out of the appointment a bit mind blown as I thought I was going for something else and then bang! it all got turned around.

Why isn’t body identical progesterone (Utrogestan) used to treat endometriosis? Surely it could help & less side effects than synthetic.
I’ve been on the contraceptive pill, depot provera,
Mirena
coil and Prostap injections. All of them had side effects and whilst some helped with pain they weren’t a long term fix.

Microgynon and Mirena Coil together? How did you get on?
I have been instructed to take the pill (despite having the
mirena
) until my 2nd lap (no date as yet) but after 3 days I have been sick every morning and am feeling awful! Anyone else taken both?

Negative laparascopy
They suggested the
mirena
coil to help my symptoms. Has anyone else been told they were negative and to get the coil and how did they find it? I have anxiety so I’m worried it will affect my overall mood. Thanks! Lauren

Off Zoladex - feel awful! Please help!
I also have a
Mirena
coil, fitted during surgery. Over the past month or so, particularly even in the past two weeks I have felt awful and I'm sure it's getting worse- worse than I ever felt even on the Zoladex!

Pain after removal of endo
Hiya. I had key hole surgery to remove stage 2 endo at the end of July and at first I was basically pain free once my stitches had healed. The pain free honeymoon lasted about 2 weeks and now I’m back to swollen tummy, bleeding non stop (blood tissue coming away) and general feeling unwell and tired.
