Some good news - Laparoscopy success!
I also agreed to get a
Mirena
coil fitted as I had the implant but as I'm over 90kg, the implant might not be as effective apparently It's been about a month since surgery, and although I didn't realise at first, it's been weird not being in pain in my stomach all month in one way or another.

Can a 3 year old MIRENA coil cause thrush symptoms.
I’ve had the
mirena
coil for the last 3 and a half years. I got this after being diagnosed with PCOS at an early age and not having much luck with the pill.

Rectal Bleeding, Endo and Adenomyosis
I had the
Mirena
coil fitted 2 weeks ago to see if this would help (I’ve been on mini-pill since before my surgery). I was advised by my surgeon from my follow up in Nov that he now seen the endo as “completely treated” but the adenomyosis “may cause some ongoing issues.”

Immunologist referral
In Feb I started on methotrexate for my arthritis but I got really bad nausea that lasted 4 weeks, then my Gynae dr recommended I removed my
mirena
inserted (sept 2021) as I developed recurring infections, Gynae felt I was rejecting the coil because all bx etc were fine.

Pain Threshold Used Against You
So it has been left that they will see me again in six months and see how things are with no intervention, apart from the x2
mirena
coils I currently have (the first was meant to be removed during an endometrioma removal and a new one inserted but they forgot to remove the first one 🙄, and the 2nd one

On HRT and feeling worse than ever
I am on the
Mirena
coil and Evorel 50 patches since Feb. I feel worse than ever. I am not sleeping, I am putting on weight, I am exhausted, sad all the time, stressed, irritable, my skin in a mess - patchy and spotty, I have huge eye bags. I have terrible IBS. I hate myself and want to disappear.

Management treatment for post endometriosis surgery
Therefore, I am booked in to have the
mirena
coil inserted later this week however, again I am unsure about how I feel about this. Has anyone been in a similar situation who would be happy to share their thoughts and experience please? Thank you xx

Can Mirena work if desogestrel doesn’t?
My question is this- is it possible that the
Mirena
could work for me given that I’ve already been taking desogestrel this long and I’m getting worse bleeding?

Endo and bowels
I have a
Mirena
coil in and have prostap every month. Seem to be at my worst in the lead up to my next injection which suggests maybe it helps and it’s just it’s running out. Having a bad flare at the moment and very fed up.

Whats wrong with me?
My GP said no further action although I was referred to gynae again in November my 2nd referral since learning I had a bulky uterus and getting a
mirena
coil so waiting on seeing them. Im actually at the end of my tether! GP treating me like its 1. All in my mind and 2.

bowel stuck to my womb endometriosis and my journey so far
I have had a few follow up appointments where I have asked questions which again have been very vague, and they decided to put me on the
Mirena
coil which did help with my bleeding but did not help with my pain at all.

Anyone experience new ovarian cysts with the Mirena coil?
Hi, just wondering if anyone has experience of developing a painful ovarian cyst, with the
Mirena
coil in? I needed a trans vaginal ultrasound today, to check the location of my
Mirena
coil, which was placed during surgery for endometriosis.

Gynaecologist referred me to the gastroenterologist
Mirena
coil, which I said no to as I'm sick of changing my contraception without any relief to my symptoms and also not knowing what the problem is. 2. Gastro referral to rule out digestive issues 3. Laparoscopy.

Endometriosis? Not diagnosed yet
Was seen by gynae in Dec 2020 and fitted with a
mirena
coil due to heavy periods and was told that if it was endometriosis
mirena
coil is first thing they try. Gynae said they would be happy to see me again. Ca125 levels reduced a short while after this.

6cm ovarian cyst
Hey guys, Last Feb I had a lap to remove a large cyst on my left ovary and some endometriosis that they could remove at the time (not all was removed due to it being close to some organs etc) and they also inserted a
mirena
coil as I had the copper before and it is supposed to “help”.

Endo , mirena or post covid issues? Any advice!
But he did say my bowel looks okay 🤯 I had the
mirena
fitted. 6 days after my surgery, I caught norovirus so that caused my body a lot of pain. Constant vomiting and diarrhoea after already being run down from surgery.
