Hey is anyone on here had this fitted and had a smoke smell Develop since having it done?

After my first period with it in, I had a change in discharge (but not typical of the descriptions you get for thrush, BV etc) and there was a smell (but not fishy - wasn’t sure how to describe it - possibly more sweet than smoky). And this was further complicated by it being placed during surgery - so can’t say it was from just the coil or surgery. However as this had happened at the weekend, I did an over the counter self intimate test and my pH was abit higher, so I ended up starting self treatment for BV (with an internal gel treatment) and that seemed to sort it. I did get in touch the GP on Monday and they offered an internal swab. So maybe should have waited.
