My cardiologist claimed that
microvascular
angina
has never been proved and doesn't exist. How arrogant of someone in his position to think he knows everything and dismisses the growing mountain of research into MVA. I'm not prepared to accept what he said and will be taking this forward.

Microvascular vessel damage?
I have
Microvascular
Angina
and I was asked what would happen if during a spasm or angina attack these little vessels get damaged - will I have a heart attack? Can these vessels become damaged through time? My doctor and heart nurse seem very unconcerned with this “common” condition!

I found it very confusing that so many names are given to it, including

Breathlessness
Hi I have had a diagnosis of
microvascular
angina
due to my symptoms as angiogram was fine. Was recommended by the gp to attend the gym with others with heart related problems and was doing fine until the other day.

Any others with microvascular angina?
I can't find much info about
microvascular
angina
. It doesn't seem to be well understood? Has anybody here got it or know where I can find out more.

Treatment by ECP (external counterpulsation) - update
I have
microvascular
angina
, which is angina caused by dysfunction of the small blood vessels to the heart, not the coronary arteries. My disease is characterised by continual (24/7) angina at fluctuating levels.

Had chest pain when the contrast dye was administered during the angiogram so the team think it is
microvascular
angina
& I await further tests. In the meantime have been put on Isosorbide mono nitrate.

Coronary artery spasm and thyroid
Hello everyone, My mom was diagnosed with Graves in Dec 2014, since then it's been a very frustrated experience with the disease. About couple years into the disease, she started experiencing palpitations and eventually afib. Long story short, in Sept 2017, she has a thyroidectomy. Immediately after

New medication
Hi all, have been Px Nicorandil 10mg x 2. Does this make anyone else feel as if they have been hit by a bus. Tired, no energy, headache. This was to stop the angina pains, which to be fair it has pretty much controlled. Thanks. Pete

Could it be
Microvascular
Angina
? Nobody has mentioned this condition to me. As the months pass I get worse and worse and it seems to be impossible to get my questions answered.

New to this..
Hi, After a brief stint in hospital this week and no answers as yet, I thought I’d do a bit of research of my own. I have been part of healthunlocked before but not on this platform. I am Hypothyroide 100g thyroxine a day, my T4/3 is mid range although my TSH of .003 ( which most doctors will have you
