Microvascular angina

Hi Not been on for a while after Doctors kept telling me "it's not your heart" After 10 long months had the mri stress test and got confirmed diagnosis of microvascular angina . The worst experience ever having procedure to prove it and get the diagnosis . Happy Tuesday everyone 🙂

Does anyone have any experience with microvascular angina. My cardiologist suspects I have it and has booked me in for an angiogram.Can anyone tell me what symptoms they were having if they've got it.

Hi, I've recently been diagnosed with microvascular angina and awaiting an angiogram for further invasive testing to identify the cause. Anyone else out there managing this type of angina, any pointers for coping, long term prognosis, changes to medication appreciated.

I have microvascular angina. There is a new sauna hut on the beach near me and I am very tempted to go in ( especially on a day like this ). But there is a notice on the door listing precautions and one of them is heart problems.

Hello All, Am wondering if anyone has had experience with Arginine for microvascular angina? Was recently prescribed and can't really tell if working...seems sometimes yes and sometimes no. I am 78 and have had two myocardial infarctions in three years. Overall feel ok, but limited activity.

I was just diagnosed with microvascular angina. Been taking medications but still feel mild chest pains and still feel weak after 4 days discharged from hospital. Is this normal?

I have blacked out twice and an ambulance taken me to A&E where when asked if they are aware of microvascular angina they are not. Against my principles I will see privately a Consultant at Papworth who is knowledgeable about microvascular angina. Thank you for allowing me to rant😊

I have microvascular angina . Going up and down stairs is killing me , even walking a short distance I need to use my spray. On Thursday I had such intense stabbing chest pain I seriously considered going to the hospital. I can barley do anything.

I have microvascular angina with normal large vessels. I have an appt to discuss whether to have CT cardiac angiography or invasive angiography (where a wire is put into your groin or arm and sent up to the heart), to check whether I have any blocked vessels.

The cardiologist doing the angiogram suspected vasospasm/ and the paroxysmal arrhythmia. my cardiologist suspects microvascular angina. Original symptoms tightening in front on neck BUT no pain. I have been prescribed 375mg of Ranolazibe twice a day.

Off with unstable angina / microvascular angina and is not undercontrol can't walk far or stand for long . Just got pip refused .symptoms have changed since starting claim. Can I appeal ? Any advice appreciated Thanks

I've just been reading an old post about Microvascular Angina from 6yrs ago by Dunestar and it's triggered a quick question ...is Small Vessel Disease similar, the same, related or something totally different?

As the hospital described micro vascular angina to me as issues with the veins preventing blood flow to the heart, does anyone know if there is any connection between 'elastic veins' and microvascular angina?

Hi all ! I had an angiogram that looked at Micro Vascular issues and had an IMR reading (index of microcirculatory resistance IMR) of 30 - which means a diagnosis of Micro Vascular Angina.. But does anyone know what this means? Is it good or bad? Barely on the charts or well along? I’ve tried googling

However, the horrendous nuclear heart scan did reveal some damage to the outer wall of the heart and my GP tells me that I have also been diagnosed with microvascular angina.

Where I spent the next 12 days( I still don't know I was in for so long) I had an angiogram on the 1st of December and an MRI perfusion and CT scan I have been diagnosed with coronary artery spasms that triggers polymorphic VT, microvascular angina and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.

I’ve been diagnosed with Microvascular Angina (2 previous heart attacks in 21&22 - they weren’t fun) anyway moving on over the past few months I’ve been having random attack of my head buzzing then sweating profusely and feeling like I need to lay down quickly it’s a horrible feeling but I don’t know

I have Microvascular Angina and on a lot of meds. Does anyone else suffer from dry skin? I pile on lotions and potions topically and also take collagen but my arms and legs particularly have paper thin dry skin. I'm 58 and expect some of this but it does seem to be worse than I'd expect.
