I'm on Metoprolol 25 mg twice a day but still in Afib. Can I take Multaq while on Metoprolol? My HR is already 105

Afib
Metoprolol is a rate control drug. An antiarrhythmic drug addresses rhythm. Multaq is an antiarrhythmic drug. Indirectly you are asking whether a rate control drug be combined with an antiarrhythmic drug. In the past I have taken a combination of a rate control drug (Diltazem) and a rhythm control (Flecainide).
You need to discuss with your EP antiarrhythmic drugs because GP's are not licensed to prescribe them. I am giving only my experience here because I am not a doctor.
I'm sure your pharmacist or GP could give you a positive answer. Probably best to give one of them a call? Think I'd opt for the pharmacist.
It is clear that you are wise. Why are you asking people on the internet about what you medicine you should be taking?
I am on metoprolol and Multaq. My understanding is that you can take Multaq as long as you're not in permanent afib. If your afib is paroxysmal it should be okay, but check with your EP.
