Lisdexamfetamine and Sleep Question
For many reasons that I shall not bore you with I didn't realise the
Methylphenidate
was making my sleep worse too until now, or rather 5 am this morning as I was not sleeping. I have an extensive history of insomnia bur it does vary greatly.

experience with jornay, baseball issues.
My 9yr old is on a low dose fast acting
methylphenidate
twice a day and it’s not cutting it anymore, honestly I don’t know if it ever really was but he didn’t get bad side effects so I was willing to deal with it. I wanted to look into jornay and wondered if anymore has tried it for their kids?

Adderall and night waking
This is the first time switching from
methylphenidate
to amphetamine for him. He has always been a pretty good sleeper. Since starting the Adderall he can fall asleep fine but has each night woken at midnight and again around 4am. Not hyperactive just restless.

CBT and sticking to therapy
I have been on
methylphenidate
in different forms, Concerta, and Ritalin. Currently, I am on a 60mg dose of Ritalin (IR). I started therapy, more specifically Mindfulness-Integrated CBT, 3 months ago. After reading about it, I felt like it could help me.

Medication for Inattentive ADHD and depression
I was treated with
methylphenidate
18mg up to 36mg. The first day was great, I felt clear headed and present. It stopped working on day 2 and I started to feel depressed again when taking the meds but in a different way , sort of not feeling like me anymore and hopeless.

Having a crisis of confidence about treating my ADHD with medication, would value your opinions/ experiences.
We both were put on versions of
Methylphenidate
. My daughter hasn't noticed any difference but I had a terrible time. On Saturday the decision was made that I should try something different. I had a lot of side effects, they said I was having a very bad reaction.

adhd and aspie struggling
Hes been on
methylphenidate
and is up to 72mg. It’s definitely helping in some ways. He can concentrate better in college (couldn’t face university or a job so is doing a short course) but gets everything done very quickly and is then very bored. But this is an issue he’s always had.

Anger and frustration of my daughter
She was on
Methylphenidate
36, aripiprazol 10, and fluxetine 200. Her symptoms were almost controlled. She came to uk on this medications. Psychiatrists said we need to change medications based on the UK guidlines. As they were changing medications, lots of symptoms appeared.

ADHD Medication update
I caught up with my Psychiatrist and he said that I should try
methylphenidate
and he specifically recommended Ritalin (10mg) - I am only taking 5mg for a start but may increase after.

9yo ADHD and at my wits end
He is on
methylphenidate
20mg once daily and guanfacine 0.5mg twice daily. I’m so depressed. I just want to enjoy life and not feel like a total garbage mom… but I’m so burnt out and every day feels like an insurmountable challenge.
