ADHD meds that don’t affect appetite?

Has anyone had a positive experience with ADHD meds that didn’t impact appetite? My son tried methylphenidate but wasn’t eating all day on it and his growth stalemated so we took him off. He tried Guanfacine but that didn’t seem to impact his symptoms all that much. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

My daughter has tried the same medications your son has with the same results as your son. I had to stop most of the medications we tried because of weight/eating issues and irritability. My daughter is wearing the Daytrana patch and still eats (Yay) but it barely helps with focus. She is on the lowest dosage. Unfortunately, you have to try different medications to really know what works for your son. I hope you do find what works for him as soon as possible so you don't have to go through all the extra trials along the way. We still haven't found the right key but some things just get a little better as they mature : ) Hang in there Mom 🙏

My grandson has been on Guanfacine plus Strattera.And they don't affect his appetite and really help. One medication alone did not do the trick.
