On top of his anti-rejection meds, he's also taking Imodium, Metamucil and a prescription anti-diarrheal for the next 2 weeks. Has barely made any progress at all. Prior to experiencing this bout of diarrhea, he abruptly stopped taking his Famotidine (Pepcid).

I’ll get constipated (and I tried Metamucil and other foods, did Lots of walking— no luck), then I worry when will the big D hit will come. It really makes a person anxious.

Colo-rectal surgeon says - stop that right away, it's not meant for long term - take Metamucil. Years ago I took Metamucil and ended up almost with a blockage. My problem is motility. Nothing moves.

I don’t have the greatest diet, purchased some Metamucil today hoping increasing my fiber may help? i have no pain, no fever, no other symptoms which is why this is stumping me! Any insight would be helpful as I am highly anxious. Thanks for your time!

I cannot get Metamucil in the uk because of the cost - it is the equivalent of 80 dollars if I buy on line. All of our doctors are on strike again for 5 days then that will be followed by a consultants strike for 2 days so we in the uk have no medical cover at all.

They told me the exact same thing, to give me a different medicine which is metamucil now in order to try and fight against my constipation. They told me not to worry and it probably isn't anything crazy going on, but I still really feel like this is something that is very serious.

I have taken three doses of Metamucil daily for many years. This should alleviate any constipation and adds healthy fiber.

Hello, I have been taking Metamucil for a while now but have been having gas issues all day long and daily, ever since. Does anyone has the same issue with Metamucil ? I would like to try another fiber supplement, does anyone has any recommendations?

Was started on Metamucil, maybe 30 years ago. Stop after awhile couldn’t stand it. Saw a GI doc, recently, who started me on an increased amount a few months ago. No one seems to understand the pain I am in from the hemorrhoids.

Ate oat and honey cheerios, peanut butter sandwiches on whole white wheat, spicy chicken alfredo with bread, pretzel chips, and two bags of popcorn (over 2 day) plus took 5 metamucil fiber gummies each day. I was having more bowel movements last two days.

#2 side effect is constipation, which I manage quite easily with a fiber supplement (Metamucil). It's not perfect, but compared to what I've been dealing with for all these years, I'm over the moon with my Buprenorphine! I know many of you are struggling, and have been for decades (like me).

I hear that husk, , which is in Metamucil and also flax are very good at cleansing. And good for anti-inflammatory. I buy the whole flaxseed and then grind them an old fashion coffee grinder.. if they are not ground, they do not digest well

My Doctor had me try exlax but that only gave me loose stools then the constipation would come back so they had me try Metamucil nothing then I was told to try restorlax but now this morning I went to the bathroom and I saw a blood in my stool and I’m nervous.

i have been taking Metamucil at night, just one teaspoon before bed. i find that it helps my digestion significantly. other than that i am not taking anything else... i dont drink sugary drinks, and try to stay away from processed foods. eating a cleaner diet definitely helps and going for walks as well

I take no other medications, but do take magnesium, Gingko and Brahmi (for improved cognition), cod liver oil, Metamucil (Psyllium husk) and Vitamin C. I am due to see a sleep specialist with an interest in RLS in about 3 weeks. I suspect he will steer me towards trying Pregabalin again.

he told me to take metamucil for three weeks and follow up with him to see how i feel, at that point ill have a CT scan done. I have stopped the Omeprozele, the bentyl, stopped all the suplements ive seen and read about on the internet.... at this point i have no idea what to do.

In the past I have treated my problem with bentyl(drug to relax intestines) and metamucil. Neither seems to help anymore. I currently get a brain fog and pressure in my brain. It is difficult to function mentally and I feel terrible. I also have issues with high BP.

I had to stop using my Metamucil as it only made things worse. And, to make matters worse, nobody told me you had to eat a full meal with it! I had been taking multac like I took flecainide- empty stomach in the morning and meal at night.

Boost fiber with Metamucil and drink lots of fluids. Does anyone have this problem and how are you handling it? Also have CKD Stage 3b.

I was doing pretty good with Metamucil every night but lately is not working. I started taking few times a week Miralax but the last few days I go to the bathroom to pee and when I clean myself I have poop on the paper, its horrible. I had a colonoscopy and everything as good.
