Hi Danu1977,
Thank you for posting on Colon Cancer Connected. Hate to see you're having to deal with these issues, but I see you are definitely trying to sort them out. You know as far as the Constipation is concerned, I think you are dealing with that trying everything that they tell you to try. I didn't see you mention hydration and that's key too. Need to drink lots of water.
But when it comes to having blood in the stool, that's definitely a symptom that needs to be checked out and needs some good answers. When you told your doctor about this, did he give you a test to confirm the blood in your stool? In other words, a FIT test? A FIT Test for blood in the stool and there are some that can be done from home. But I would hope your doctor would not just pass it off without confirming the Symptoms existence or not.
So, I would definitely pursue getting answers to why there is blood in the stool. This could be caused by many different things and there are tests to help you determine the reason. It is not something to ignore. I think you realize that. If the doctor that brushed it off won't help you, I'd seek the opinion of a different doctor. There's always best to know why something is occurring and that gives you Peace of Mind. So, please do get answers.
We do wish you all the best in finding out what's going on. Please let us know what you find out. It is that type of information that can prove to be helpful to others on this site as well.
Thank you,
Bro I’ve been bleeding on and off since 2018. After colonoscopy, ct scans, blood work it was all clean and diagnosed with hemorrhoids. This was when I was 34/35. I chocked it up to hemorrhoids and increased my fiber intake a lot everyday not just a day or 2. Religiously! You have to do the same. The blood could be from scraping your hemorrhoid and making it bleed. Especially if the blood is bright red. A lot of colon cancer patients, you won’t even see the blood. By getting kidney stones, you may not be drinking lots of water. And that also increases your chances of getting constipated. All those miralax, Metamucil etc require lot of water or they will just make you constipated. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions.
thanks so much bro yeah I did a total 180 on my died and now eat a lot of fiber and veggies yeah the blood was bright red so I was abit worries I was told when I was in my 20’s I had hemmroids but was freaking out also alot of stress I have been dealing with could of just been the perfect storm of kidney stones stress bad diet thank you again for the response.
no problem. It’s a lifestyle change. We aren’t getting any younger. Since then I’ve been going to the gym. First thing in the morning I take 4 table spoons of Metamucil. Then 2 more as soon as I eat. Now be careful not to do so much after you eat or the fiber will grab the nutrients. Drink lots of water!!!!! Prayers to you and your health.
