Will Lupron and Casodex affect a PSMA PET Scan?
In 2017, with a PSA of 9 and Gleason of 3+4 on left of prostate, I had HIFU on left side. After 6 months my PSA of 2 became almost 4. In june, with a PSA of 7 I had a biopsy. Out of 12 cores, 8 were 3+4, 1 was 4+3, and one was 4+4, that one was on the right side. I had a CT of abdomen and pelvis last

Castrate resistant
Is being castrate resistant treatable? If so what drugs do they usually use for treatment? Can some share your story about being castrate resistant. My husbands psa is double each month the Dr is going to try Zytiga along with the Lupron which really is working by itself.

Lupron
"my" oncologist informed me today, that Lupron is currently on back order and may not be available for up to 1 year. i have been advised the next injection could be Zoladex, instead. looking into Zolodex, per AstraZeneca website: https://www.zoladex.com/breast-cancer/

Xtandi Dosage
Stage 4 w/met. On Lupron since 10/19 and a 6 month stint cut short on Zytiga with very minor side effects. Now on Xtandi for 3 weeks and much more brain fog, lack of concentration, hot flashes, fatigue and emotional ups and downs. I noticed similar side effects previously but now seem much more pronounced

Lupron advice
I am considering going on Lupron for 3 months to see if it will help me conceive. I have stage 3 endo and adenomyosis. I’ve had excision surgery almost a year ago. Has anyone done the same and had success? Also can a GP prescribe this for me or would I need to go back to a gynaecologist? I’m based in

Not a question, more a sharing
Went to the Royal Free, Hampstead for scheduled appointment for PMR yesterday. I'm now nearly a year in from the initial diagnosis. Head of this department I originally saw privately. He gave me an injection of Depo-Medrone 120mg to see if my symptoms went away as a diagnostic tool. They did. Couldn't

The Difficult Question most all of us will face.
Hello All. i wanted to give an update since my last Chemo adventure, and discuss where I am now. If you were following (and if not please look through my posts as you will to get the whole story), I last reported after my 6th Docetaxel session. My PSA was still rising. 3.02 when I started to 6.98 at

How to cope?
My symptoms began truly way back at 8 year old, my first period landed me in hospital. I suffered massive traumas, abuses at the hands of several pervert men, abuses from parents, bullied etc... how i made it this far is beyond me. Edit: These abuses were in childhood and are for context that i suffered

PSA question
I was diagnosed Stage 4 in February 2019 with PSA of 368. Started Lupron in March and Zytiga in May of 2019. I've seen a steady PSA decrease over the last year, however my last 3 PSA readings have held relatively steady at 3.68, 2.84 and 2.74. Can I assume that I have reached my nadir? I was hoping

Different ADT medicine ?
Instead of Fermagon or Lupron there is a drug that only stays in the system for a month instead of six months. This allows to go on vacation as drugs are out of the body. Just finished my fourth treatment at University of Heidelberg for AC-225 and LU-177. After only three weeks PSA is .2. Planning on

Can A Person Take a Break From Lupron?
My dad is on Lupron and Xgeva. He hates the shots and I don't why he has to receive them along with Xtandi and numerous horrible side effects. Why do doctors make you get the shots every month?

First chemo, just sharing...
After just one year my advanced PC that was being treated with Lupron and Apalutamide has now progressed to additional bone sites and lymph nodes. New sites are undifferentiated. PSA remains undetectable. Started docetaxel plus carboplatin at DFCI in Boston yesterday. I'm told I will be on chemo for
