A little something bright and happy
I would just like to take a few moments to share some positive things because sometimes with
melanoma
a lot of things feel dark and gloomy. I know I personally feel better when I am filled with hope and optimism for the future, so I hope it will have the same effect on others!

New Diagnosis
I'm Kelsey, I'm 21 years old, and today my pathology report from a removed mole came back as
melanoma
. The skin around it they said hadn't been infected. Tomorrow I am getting surgery to dig deeper into where the mole was and to test my lymphnodes to see if the cancer spread.

I need help
My dad was diagnosed with
melanoma
on his chest/rib area a year ago and had it removed. I thought that was it. Just last week his armpit (lymph node) swelled up a ton so he had a ultrasound and they are ordering a biopsy. Is it possible it is nothing? Has anyone else had this and it was nothing?

Radiation targeted and tumor Infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL)
Now we are back in consultations because there is a deep lymph node that lit up on the Pet which may or may not be melanome and can't be felt under the right armpit, and the new tumor on the back of his head that showed up last week which is undoubtedly cutaneous
melanoma
.

radiation for melanoma metastisis and abscopal effect
Hopefully the shaky hands, irritability, and sleep disturbance will also wane :) In the meantime, we have been consulting as to how to proceed next with the 3 distant sites of
melanoma
oligometastis: shoulder, abdomen and shoulderblade.

The worst feeling
I was first diagnosed with
melanoma
when I was 27. I was really lucky and caught it super early so after the initial removal, I had a plastic surgeon remove a softball size chunk out of my left thigh and thank goodness it came back w clear margins.

Melanoma
Yesterday finally hit me hard after meeting with my mom's Oncologist. We went over what treatment and which medicines they will give her. I still haven't figured out how to cope with this. She's only 50 years old and still have more to life to live. My fiancee keeps telling me that I just need to deal

Diet in the prevention of cancer and ancer metastasis
Vitamin D intake is shown effective at inhibiting the growth and development of tumors including its metastasis associated with prostate cancer, colorectal, breast cancer, and
melanoma
. Increase your vitamin D levels by exposing your skin to sunlight daily without added sunscreen protection.

cystic thyroid nodules & malignant melanoma history
However, I have a history of 1 episode of malignant
Melanoma
in the arm (caught very early). With this history (which GP didn't recall & I didn't link at the time -BRAF oncogene) should I ask for onward referral for biopsy of nodules

What's normal?
Losing my mind thinki I have
melanoma
, or bone cancer, or cancer in my spine, or spinal tumors... I think about it all day and think I make my "pain " worse... or create the pain in my head. I hate this. Idk what to do and stay in constant fear, depression, and worry.

Treatment decision
Hi, I am 27 and was diagnosed with
melanoma
two months ago. Had wide excision and SNB done and a small tumor was in the lymphnode they removed. My oncologist has given me the option to wait and watch or to do a year of immunotherapy-nivolumab. Any other young moms that have faced this decision?

2nd round of LU177-PSMA Theraphy didn't go as planned. Immunotherapy in Europe for advanced prostate cancer?
He wants to do immunotherapy but they only offer that to malignant
melanoma
patients here in Sweden. Do you know anywhere else in Europe where he could get immunotherapy?

Hello!
I was diagnosed with
melanoma
on 10/25/18, my mole was on my right buttock it was pink and itched. I’m currently getting a second opinion since my first path report was read by a general pathologist and not a skin pathologist. Any other expecting or new moms?
