The worst feeling

Hi everyone. My name is Kate, I’m 33 and live in Roanoke Va. I was first diagnosed with melanoma when I was 27. I was really lucky and caught it super early so after the initial removal, I had a plastic surgeon remove a softball size chunk out of my left thigh and thank goodness it came back w clear margins. Unfortunately , while at my PCP checkup , he noticed a mole on the inside of my pinky toe. He sent me to my dermatologist and I could tell she was really really concerned. It came off immediately . I’m still waiting for the results but I have that terrible feeling again.

Hi Kate, I know how anxiety producing it can be to wait on results!! I hope you get yours quickly and that it turns out to be just a regular mole. The great thing is that you are on top of everything and if further action needs to be taken, you will do so! Sometimes anxiety comes from not having a plan, but you will have a plan! We are all here to help/talk/whatever in the meantime. Sending you peace and calm! -Moriah
