Hi everyone. I'm Kelsey, I'm 21 years old, and today my pathology report from a removed mole came back as melanoma. The skin around it they said hadn't been infected. Tomorrow I am getting surgery to dig deeper into where the mole was and to test my lymphnodes to see if the cancer spread.
I'm just hoping someone could talk to me if they've had a similar experience. Do you think my lymphnodes will test negative? Has this happened to you? I guess I'm just digging for some glimmer of hope and wanting support from people who know what I'm going through. Thank you.

The only way to know is to have the sentinel lymph node biopsy. When I had my WLE, my nodes were not affected. You can do this! Just remember to follow all your doctor’s advice! Get your full body skin check, wear your sunscreen and check your skin! Live with awareness, not fear! Good luck today!!!
Hello! I had the same surgery in November, WLE and Sentinel lymph node biopsy. I had to wait 7 days for the results which was hard, but everything came back clear! Before the surgery the doctor gave me a estimated percentage of the cancer being in my lymph nodes, but that is all based on your original pathology report. The good news is you are being proactive and getting everything checked. Prayers and well wishes for you!
