Resistance to therapy
I have been driving myself bonkers looking up the resistance people with
melanoma
build up that ends up ultimately ending their journey with either an immunotherapy or targeted therapy because of certain proteins. Has anyone done any research on this too? If so, I’d love to hear any findings.

Afraid to go in the sun after melanoma diagnosis? Some thoughts...
Sun exposure concerns are a reasonable adjustment to life with
melanoma
. So what are the reasonable steps everyone in your family can take? Wear sunscreen that is 30 spf and reapply, everyday. Wear hats. Wear SPF clothing that covers arms, legs, feet, chest and neck. Sunglasses!

Low Grade OC -Trametanib update!
We can do that because the drug is already licensed for another cancer (
melanoma
). I’m not sure how successful that will be but ladies can ask their oncologists to do the same on the basis of the data that were presented in Barcelona. The paper hasn’t been published yet.

Could this be linked to hormone imbalance following hysterectomy with BSO? (9.5 months post surgery)
The gynecologist doesn't recommend any hormone replacement treatment due to the risk of cancer following a 2017
melanoma
diagnosis. It all started with losing sight in my left eye one day(it came back after 45 minutes) to having double vision a couple weeks later.

Hope
The doctor is a
melanoma
specialist and has given an option, or open door rather to something we didn’t know could happen. Which was like getting two birds with one stone. Avastin is a drug that is used for brain edema, and can essentially take care of it within 4 doses.
