Received results of pet scan after one month of Brav-Mek combo.Lesions have increased in size.We are very disappointed,will see doc tomorrow to see what to do now.

I am very sorry to hear this as well! I know it is be overwhelming but try to remain positive. Are you a candidate for immuno-therapy like Yervoy and or Keytruda? I had a melanoma tumor in my leg that spread to my lungs and liver (Stage IV) in 2014. I was fortunately able to be treated successfully and am NED. Ask your oncologist if there are any other possible treatment options? It is just a suggestion. Wishing you all the best!

Saw doc today.targeted therapy not working.Scheduled to start Keytruda next Wednesday. But must be careful as I have a few immune diseases that can have major flares with immunotherapy.🙏🏻

I’m sorry to hear that the brav-mek didn’t stop the cancer from growing. I also read that you will be starting immunotherapy.

When these meds work they really work. Are they going to continue the brav-Mek while also introducing the immunotherapy? My husband was on BRAF-Mek and Opdivo together for 9 months before continuing with the Opdivo alone for another 13 months. You can read all of my husbands history on my page.

They stopped the Brav-Med and waiting a week till out of my system as they said all together could be too much toxicity.Will start Keytruda on Thursday
