Sleeping with ectopics
I have been getting ectopic beats for the last three weeks. At times it can be as many as 1 every 30 normal beats, at other times I don’t get one for hours. No idea what the triggers are. Already on BP meds, including Bisoprolol. Went to see GP last week, she sent me off to ED where an ECG, blood tests

Carbimazole and cramps update
Hi Everyone, I have been on a roller coaster since my last post, hence my relative silence. My mother was seriously ill, I was asked to sign a DNR, then my mother recovered, now I am able to focus on my own issues. Since my last post about my severe cramps, they seem to have subsided since introducing

RBC Magnesium test (not Serum)
I am trying to find a home blood test for RBC Magnesium (as the serum test is inaccurate due to most of the magnesium being in your muscles and bones). I have read that too little magnesium may be connected to Afib. Does anyone know of a company in the UK that does this RBC Magnesium test? All the usual

Sorbolene Lotion experience and my RLS
I was prescribed Sorbolene Lotion for my lower legs for dry skin - had very bad dry skin that was basically permanent. Anyway, I found that my restless legs disappeared after applying the cream. The cream is essentially just a moisturiser - says it has glycerine and vitamin E in it. I was applying it

Low appetite
Hi, undiagnosed but strongly suspect hypo possibly Hashi and gathering info/signs etc. Started supplements for folate, vit d (with k) and b complex just about to start magnesium too. On HRT including DHEA. So, my appetite has been on the wane, probably since menopause and thyroid problems began.

Exercise and Low Thyroid: Am I doing more harm than good? Advice, please!
I would like to ask about having low thyroid levels and doing exercise. I have hypo symptoms, and blood tests show low FT3 and FT4, but normal TSH (for reference, last blood test results are below). So far, no doctor or endocrinologist thinks I have any thyroid issue. One of my symptoms has been unexplained

What's the best Magnesium supplement for Thyroid?
I've tried a few but for the past few years I've concentrated on Magnesium taurine which is supposed to be heart centric, for my afib. It hasn't made a difference and the capsules give me heartburn so I want to switch back to a thyroid focussed magnesium. What do people prefer?

I saw Dr Scott Cooper this morning and I am hopeful that he will help me. He was familiar with augmentation and was very thorough is his examination. He has ordered a full iron panel and checking B12 and magnesium levels. In all he is doing 3 panels. He is also doing nerve conductivity test. He said

Opinion on RLS diagnosis
I am a 35 YO female, and I’ve been suffering from migraine for the past 3 years. The intensity and frequency of migraine has increased throughout the years going from 1 debilitating attack per month to 6-8 per month.Last august 2023, I had an increase in attacks and that’s when the supposedly RLS symptoms

Unlocking the Maze of B Complexes: A Handy List for Safe Dosages and Bioactive Vitamins
It can be quite challenging to find reliable B-complex supplements that are safe in terms of dosage. Additionally, it is advisable to opt for bioactive vitamins for added safety. To help each other out, I have started compiling a list categorized into low, medium, and high dosages of B6 and B9, which

Clonidine - success with RLS anyone?
Evening team I have a query. As some of you may remember I was prescribed Buprenorphine two years ago by a neurologist for my restless limbs. I have a feeling I may have asked this question before, maybe not in one of my posts, (can't remember!) Does anyone out there take Clonidine for RLS? if

Strontium citrate results in regaining bone
For those who ask if bone can be regained without pharmaceuticals – you may be interested in this. I am 73 and was diagnosed with osteoporosis more than a decade ago. My bone density tests have shown continual decline. My doctor urged me to take Prolia but I declined. I researched strontium citrate,

The cramps are becoming more and more frequent and my Gp said to eat bananas and rub magnesium into my feet. Last night was unbearable

Monitor My Health iron test - lack of ranges
I spent a bit more money on my MMH test this year as I’ve never had an iron panel done but have always had low iron indicators on a full blood test. I didn’t get complete results as ferritin failed (posting the kit back took 48 hours when it was tracked to take 24) but the results I did get, I can’
