I used to suffer interrupted sleep due to cramp in my lower legs and feet - this was resolved when I started to take magnesium (2x tablets a day) I also use Feather & Down, Sweet Dreams, sleep butter. I massage it into my feet and legs at night before bed. Both together work so well - Kari.

Hi, Magnesium Glycinate is really affective but try to avoid Citrate as it can potentially upset your stomach. I use it for muscle pain and it helps me along with good sleep. Good luck.

I used to suffer nightly with terrible cramps in both legs. Since taking magnesium it’s only very occasionally.

Hi Mostew - had the same problem to the point I’d have to sit up and allow it to ease off. My GP, also a homeopath, prescribed homeopathic remedy Cuprum Metallicum in 7CH strength to take as needed, i.e when it happened. It really worked. The cramps diminished quite rapidly and I now maybe only have one or two per month.

If not for you, maybe the homeopathic remedy might be of help to one of you…

All the best getting it resolved.

Great to hear you have had good results from homeopathy. And you have a Gp who is a homeopath.I had a wonderful homeopath for several years but she moved abroad and I searched in vain for one I trusted....

So I now see an Ayurvedic practitioner.

I'll look into remedy you use but homeopathy really needs individual prescribing .

Where do you live ?

I live in France… indeed, some homeopathy needs individual prescribing, but I was not under the impression this one did.

Yes, good homeopaths are very hard to find.

I had the same issue but the cramps were pretty severe. I was magnesium deficient. A daily dose of Mg corrected the problem. I have tried several different formulations and settled on Magnesium Glycinate 175mg. Magnesium is an osmotic agent and this form of Mg is the least osmotic. I would suggest having your magnesium levels checked. The dose can be adjusted based on your actual need. As always, let your care team know if you decide to add a supplement.

All the best.
