Anyone know how long the waiting list is for DBS at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London?
I am adding in Amantadine to my daily regime of
Madopar
CR
and
Madopar
dispersible every 5 hours. Any feedback on this? Has anyone had their DBS done through Queen Square Neurology?

2 x Madopar CR, 100mg taken 11pm tonight - ambulance called at 2am? Why did this happen?
My GP suggested that I try 2 x
Madopar
CR
for bedtime dose to see if that helped. I took them at about 11:30pm (I also had Baclofen in my system to calm painful leg dystonia). I fell asleep.

Is efficiency of meds affected by weather?
I realise that this sounds a stupid question, but was wondering if anyone has found this to be the case? I have been away in my caravan over the last weekend. When I am there my meds usually last longer, but this time my tremor has been much worse. I don't know if this is because it was extremely cold

Sinemet CR and sleep
I have recently been prescribed Sinemet CR to help with my sleep, or rather lack of it. I take 4 x Stalevo 100mg and 1x8mg Requip XL daily. I have been taking last Stalevo at about 7pm and Sinemet at about 10pm when going to bed as advised. I am still waking after about 2 hours. I know a lot of people

madopar patches
B's condition is deteriorating at the moment and swallowing has become very difficult for him. He has a feeding PEG and I am going to ask for his medication to be in some other form than tablets. But I keep getting conflicting advice from his doctors regarding Madopar patches. Can anyone tell me how

Drugs for Parkinson's- how do you spell their names?
This is not really a question, more an attempt to answer it. I have noticed many different spellings being used, and I bought a book about Parkinson's which includes drug names. The most commonly used drugs seem to be Madopar Sinemet Mirapexin also known as pramipexole Requip

Side effects of Pramipexole and Madopar or the disease itself ??
I am a 62 year old man.I was diagnosed with PD 4 years ago. I used to be a really outgoing self confident person but in the 4 years since diagnosis and taking the prescrbed Pramipexole for 3½ years and also Madopar for the last 6 months I have lost all my self confidence. I feel edgy, nervy and a bit

DR B REPLIES....... NEUROLOGISTS OUTCOME
From Dr B.... Unfortunately, the top neurologist who you saw is clearly not a top RLS specialist. His advice is absolutely incorrect and as you have noted it should not be followed. You are already on a high dose of Mirapex (Mirapexin) and are developing augmentation (worsening of your RLS from

Neurologists Outcome
Well, not what I thought. After waiting 7 months to see a certain consultant. He really didn't help much. Told me my doctor could give me whatever, asked if Ihad taken the following..... then he rattled off about six different drugs I had never heard of. I said no, why not, I haven't been offered them

Wondering if a Parkinsons nurse recommended change of meds will help
Would changing meds from Prampexole 0.7Mg x times daily to Madopar 62.5Mg x 3 times daily be likely to improve my ability to play the bass.

THE MORE YOU DO THE MORE L-DOPA NEEDED ???
I told my neurologist that my Madopar did not last as long if i was busy in fax a lot less . Neuro said that is don't work like that. Having thought about it I think he wrong. IF the neuro is rite and its a big IF .Why do we get less L-DOPA at night or. when we are at rest . That is my ARGUMENT.
