Which anti depressant I can take with Azilect?
I was very grateul to everyone who answered my question about spikes of depression as drugs wear off. I've had a horrendous weekend and I was pinning my hopes, long term, on taking citolapram but this morning the PD nurse rang to say they'd changed thier mind and I can't take it as I take Azilect (rasagaline

Anyone have severe psychological depression during wearing off?
Recently I have been very hurt by my adult children's attiude to my PD. Last week I willingly agreed with my PD nurse to take anti depressants to help me cope but inefficient GPs mean I've not actually got them yet. During this last week I've experienced regular episodes of psychological pain ,- each

Any benefit from taking Mirapaxen and Madopar
My husband has been on Mirapaxen and an increasing dose of Madopar for the last 2 years with no sign of any improvement in his mobility. The Madopar has just been increased again and he has become very agitated at the slightest thing and very shaky. Has anyone ever experienced any benefit from taking

Self managing PD - Are we serious or not?
I’m back. With good reason though, inspired by a message I received, I decided to post. The following issues, in my opinion, are not being addressed properly within the whole pd community. (I am in the UK but this could equally apply anywhere). Ok here we go. (Another lengthy one) The drugs

Anyone else with severe vertigo?
I've had PD 9 years- well controlled with madopar, azilect, entacapone. For the past few weeks I've had very severe, completely debilitating vertigo attacks (NOT dizziness, this is true vertigo where the room swings suddenly and violently and won't stop and it's impossible to move without staggering

Shall I stop taking my medication?
Last night I felt the bed was moving under me and today sitting in the armchair I felt the chair was moving under me. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Could it be the pills I'm taking?I take 3 madopar and 2 amantadine tablets per day, should I stop taking the pills or cut down?

Sinemet best practice - take a tablet when you feel you need it or stick to 3 times a day and be uncomfortable.
I cannot stick to 1 tablet of Sinemet, 62.5mg 3 times a day as directed by my PD Nurse as I definitely need one every 4 hours or I wear off and have very uncomfortable, painful restless leg syndrome. I have started taking 5 a day and then add in Sinemet CR 25mg Levodopa at night to try and get some

Does anyone know how my mum can stabilise after going into freefall?
My mum started taking madopar to boost her rasagiline but this has coincided with her having diarrohea. She was switched to Sinemet but the diarrohea has persisted so she's now off that too and on rasagiline only. A stool sample and bowel cancer test have come back as normal so I think maybe levodopar

Boost Sinemet with Madopar Dispersible YES OR NO?
"if you need to take an extra sinemet thats ok, it may differ from day to day. Use the dispersible as required, just keep to a minimum, but if you need them, you need to take them". What does my PD Nurse mean by the above in quotations? not to boost the Sinement with Madopar Dispersible? does she
