Wondering if a Parkinsons nurse recommended change of meds will help

Would changing meds from Prampexole 0.7Mg x times daily to Madopar 62.5Mg x 3 times daily

be likely to improve my ability to play the bass.

Perhaps in addition but not instead. Madopar is Levodopa (50mg) and Benserazide (12,5mg). Levodoap is still the best PD drug there is. I was put on 62.5 mg of Madopar but couldn't tell I'd taken any until my dose was doubled to 125mg Madopar. The result was great - I could move around normally without shuffling and gait freezing. Was taking 07mg X 3 pramiopexole now take a 24 hour version - Mirapexin P/R (prolonged release).

Thank you for replying Pete-1, good to hear that the increased dose of Madopar helped you.

I have lready tried 1 x 62.5mg Madopar an hour before a gig in addition to 0.7mg x 3 Pramipexole with limited success. Perhaps 125mg would be better. I'll have a chat with the Parkinsons nurse

and see what she suggests.
