The Cancer Whisperer Book by Sophie Sabbage
I am just reading this book which is written by Sophie. She is EGFR positive and has stage 4 lung cancer. I am in a similar situation with ALK mutation. I have found the book comforting to read and also empowering. She has insight into managing the condition and empowers the reader to make them aware

What It's Like to Be in a Lung Cancer Clinical Trial - Part Two, The Clovis Pharmaceuticals Phase II Trial for CO-1686
In February 2015 I found myself sitting by myself in a car in a parking lot, summoning the courage to read the CT scan report I had just picked up to take to my oncologist. This scan marked the six month mark in my first line treatment with Tarceva. As I read the news that my cancer was starting to grow

Information for all
In case you don't know and I apologise to those that do, but are you aware that 65 is a magic age. I will explain. As I had mentioned previously I was diagnosed with A1 some 14 yrs ago, but it is only in the last 3/4 yrs that it has worsened, and as of 14 months ago I went on Oxygen. In my case I persevered

Hi there I'm asking for advice for my sister. She was diagnosed with a thyroid 'lesion' 3cm, about 3 months ago, has had various FN biopsies, the last one they told her 'inconclusive' and that could not rule out malignancy... What It's Like to Be in a Lung Cancer Clinical Trial - Part One, Background Information
Have you ever thought about participating in a lung cancer clinical trial? The thought of taking an experimental drug, a new combination of drugs, or undergoing a new surgical or radiological procedure is exciting for some, scary for others. If you think a clinical trial might be in your future, I hope

My Dear Sweet Husband has Lung Cancer
I am writing for my dear sweet husband who diagnosed 13 months ago with small cell lung cancer that metastasized to his lymph system, liver, and his brain. After chemo, and radiation to his brain and chest, he started Opdivo. Opdivo did a great job reducing his tumors, but then attacked his lungs. He

Chemo & Surgery or Chemo & Radiotherapy ?
I'm in somewhat of a dilemma, it would seem that it is to be my decision as to whether I have Chemo with Radio therapy or Chemo followed by a
Lobectomy
of the left
lung
. The problem is no one can give me any actual facts upon which to make an informed decision.

Sharp pain across chest.
I've just come across this site so I thought I'd ask a question.I had upper right

Raising awareness of radiotherapy pneumonitis.
My mum was diagnosed with lung cancer type 3 six months ago. The doctors explained the cancer was terminal but manageable. Mum flew through chemo like a superhero. The radiotherapy however was not the same. Side effects took hold weeks after the intense course of treatment. Mum suffered with breathing

Sorting Out the Stuff After a Lung Cancer Diagnosis
In a previous post, I discussed some of the ways I reached out to sort out my feelings after my diagnosis with stage 4 lung cancer. That hasn’t been the only thing I’ve needed to deal with - there has also been all the stuff from a lifetime, especially since I’ve lived in the same home for 36 years.

Blood test during lung cancer diagnosis
Hi My mum is undergoing tests at the moment and has been told she probably has a tumour in her right lung... she has a needle biopsy booked for next Tuesday and is having blood tests later this week for clotting? Has anyone else had this type of blood test prior to LC diagnosis? And why are they doing
