Hi, I'm new here. Wanting to hear from others who are trying a natural approach to recovery
I had a
lumpectomy
and radiotherapy. Was told I 'had to' take Tamoxifen. I wanted to 'sleep on it'. I did and have decided, for now, not to take it. Anyone done the same? Would love to hear about your route and what's been helpful.

Ablation tomorrow
I was due to have my breast
lumpectomy
tomorrow as well (comparing NHS to busses!) but that has now had to wait, apparently want to get heart sorted before having a general anaesthetic. Wish me luck guys.

Tomorrow's good and bad
It has been a year since my
lumpectomy
. Hope the results will show clear. Wish me luck :-) Today's challenges were getting thru another migraine (second day on the trot grrr) and getting some potting up done. Gritted teeth, but done. The wood burner too, even collecting logs and kindling.

Just another small problem
I have suffered with so many things from having my appendix out when I was 15 up until now when I had the
lumpectomy
I feel a waste of space, always at the Doctors. No wonder I feel down but my Niece is coming to visit today with her IVF twins who are 2 and one girl and one boy.

Good News
The Doctor said that I was very lucky catching the lump so quickly, the
lumpectomy
and the 23 Sessions of radiotherapy has worked, hopefully.

How to cope with my mom's treatment? .
She was given an option for
lumpectomy
and mastectomy. She chose the first one for obvious reasons. The doctor has started chemo. They have installed a port on her for chemo. She was unable to eat anything for first three days of chemo. Now she is eating but in small quantities.

DCIS - has anybody else been diagnosed with this?
My surgeon elected to do the
lumpectomy
rather than a breast reduction, due to my health, but I must admit to regretting this course of action, given what's happened this past fortnight. Recurrence appears to be about 25% which is usually an aggressive form.

Is there any connection between Arimidex and hearing loss?
She is 82 years old, and had a
lumpectomy
in August, 2012. She has been on Arimidex 1 mg daily since mid-August - a little over 7 months now.

More surgery...pah!
The good news is that it's contained within the milk duct and the
lumpectomy
should sort it out. 5 out of 6 patients need no further intervention, so I'm hoping I'm one of the 5! If it proves not to be the case, then I'll be facing either further surgery or radiotherapy. Eek!

Is it OK to take honey in my case.?
I had a
lumpectomy
done. Mine was detected in the initial stages. I did not have to undergo Chemotherapy but had 33 radiations and I am on Nolvadex 10 mg twice a day. I feel that my nails keep breaking easily. Its been 1 1/2 yrs now. I feel otherwise great and fit.

Latest on the boob!
Mind you I have only had a
lumpectomy
! I came back from Leeds on the bus and the result was feet like ice and I am developing a cold. As I was walking from the bus stop it started to snow! It did not stick but was hardly warming! Ah well time to get up!

Here we go again! Same carousel different horse! Breast cancer this time!
The recommended option is a
lumpectomy
and removal of the lymph glands. I was offered 27 Dec but will still be in London so the next mutilation will take place on Jan 11th followed by daily radio therapy. The op will be done in York followed by radiotherapy in Leeds at St James!
