Has anyone had kyphoplasty procedure to lumbar spine & how long did pain last?
My mom just had a kyphoplasty procedure last Tuesday to her lumbar spine as a precautionary procedure to strengthen her bone after having SBRT radiation. She has been taking codeine for the past few days but is still in a significant amount of pain, although the pain she experienced in her legs decreased

Someone has tried to take t3 one day yes one day no or every 3rd day? I was on 100 mcg levo, reduced by 25 and add 5 mcg t3. I tried for 3 weeks to take 5 mcg t3 and 75 mcg t4 every day but have a lot of hyper simptoms. I had Graves in 2012 then RAI, then hypo with 100 mcg levo. I am a poor converter

Iodine supplementation doesn't affect foetal outcome.
I just make this post which isn't groundbreaking, which shows that giving iodine to pregnant women with a degree of iodine insufficiency improves their personal iodine level but has no effect on the foetus. Unsurprising, because the foetus takes what it needs from the mother, regardless of whether the

Embarrassment of dealing with extreme pain
Or.... Embarrassment 0f being ill Like most people, sorry it's been a while. I just had my first pain clinic, and thank FUNK that I got the reassurance that I so badly needed. Someone who actually understands what my pain is and doesn't appear to be scrutinising every word and action so they can use

Graves’ disease
Hi I am 58 years old and was diagnosed 5 years ago. I took methimazole and got severe allergic reaction. My liver levels are high so my doctor has no other medications for me. She insists I get radioactive iodine to kill it. I am refusing and struggling. I have no symptoms. Once again in awhile

How long can you take meds?
hello everybody. I’ve been taking 40 mg of carbimazol and 100mg of levotheroxin as my bock and replace therapy for Grave’s disease for about 4 years. My levels kind of stable and “in range”. But the endo is constantly bringing the question that I had to stop all meds. I don’t agree with that as I know

Is all Lugol's Iodine created equal? Many brands imply safe oral use but come with a disclaimer 'talisman use only'. help!
Are there labelling restrictions / recent guidelines that prevent companies from 'encouraging' oral use of their lugol's iodine? Or are there different kinds of Lugol's solution, some which are 'food grade' and some not?

RLS TREATMENT: Every day I read questions and answers on this forum and I would like to share with you some of my concerns
about the replies given to the many RLS sufferers who are struggling with their medication. All medications, if you read the leaflets, have side-effects and complications and at the end of the day, we have to weigh up which ones are going to be effective for each of us individually. 1.Dopamine Agonists

Gluten Free after RAI
Would anyone share their experience of going GF? What kind of improvements did you experience and how long did it take? I have Graves treated with RAI in 2008, I have seen GF recommended a lot, I wonder what benefits I could expect if my thyroid has been ablated anyway. Thanks!
