Lobectomy?
They will remove the tumour and analyse whilst I'm still under anaesthetic, if cancerous they will proceed to
lobectomy
. Am very nervous about this procedure has anyone else been through anything similar? Thank you love Clare x

Shoulder problems & numbness down arm & hand?
Hi Just over 6yrs ago had a lower
lobectomy
for adenocarcinoma stage 1b. As I was younger than normal & non smoker I still get followed up by my consultant every 6 months thankfully. I’ve had tenderness under right arm & by scars with shoulder pain & restrictions since Christmas.

Stage 4 central mediastinal mass
After a
lobectomy
3 years ago, I now have a stage 4 central mediastinal mass. No reoccurrence in the lung or spread to other organs. I have been told that only palliative treatment is possible and offered (covid permitting) chemotherapy with immunotherapy. Has anyone experience of this cancer?

Good news - Stage IIIB
Potted history below: 4 rounds of chemo, radiotherapy,
lobectomy
(2014/15) Complete neck dissection, radiotherapy (2017/18) I haven’t been on any treatments in the intervening periods. I feel so fortunate to be so fit and well and still be out running.

Fluid in opposite lung post Lobectomy
Hi My mum is 4 months post right lung
lobectomy
, she had an x-ray on Tues which shows this lung is clear - amazing news! However, they said it looks like there's fluid on the left lung, she's to go back in 6 weeks for another x-ray and post that possibly a CT scan, is this a cause for concern?

Advice on respiratory issues.
I am reluctant to keep bothering my Consulatant but I have really bad health anxiety since a small cancerous tumour was found in 2017 with subsequent upper right
lobectomy
. Also I still experience really bad pain in the right side especially if I sneeze it is like a punch.

sweating a lot!
I had a
lobectomy
on 8/28 on my upper left lung for NSCLC and was told no further treatment is needed since I'm stage 1a. I'll be scanned every 3 months, then every 6, then yearly. Has this happened to anyone else?

Anxious
I’ve just read on another page of a very brave young lady having a right lung
lobectomy
today and they are also removing 3 ribs?! Im obviously hopeful for curative surgery, but the thought of loosing ribs hadn’t even crossed my mind? Does that happen a lot with
lobectomy
?
