After a lobectomy 3 years ago, I now have a stage 4 central mediastinal mass. No reoccurrence in the lung or spread to other organs. I have been told that only palliative treatment is possible and offered (covid permitting) chemotherapy with immunotherapy. Has anyone experience of this cancer?

Stage 4 central mediastinal mass

So sorry to hear that Cancer is back in your life. I had a lobectomy three and half years ago, still having check up's with consultant and must admit each time I go I keep expecting him to give me bad news. I really do hope that whilst you may have been told only palliative treatment is possible you can get the treatment that you need. Sending you lots of hugs.
Hello Guys 17, your post interested me as we just had a smilar experience sent home under palliative care supervision. I had not heard of Mediastinal disease or tumours till now . Apparently they can be benign or malignant, our family member also had Emphesema so we lost them quite quickly. They were stage four like yourself. Sorry I did not want to answer your post but it seems if caught early enough there are available treatments, but early symptoms often get put down to other things.
Virtual ((((hugs)))).
