I'm 79, reasonably active, but no formal exercise, (I run a B&B). After 12 years of various BP meds, Candesartan caused ankle swelling, , couldn't tolerate felodipine, finally using Lisinopril, but have numb fingertips. Bisoprolol 2.5mg was added in 2017 following a brief episode of AF-due to low potassium, alongside 60mg Edoxaban. Also take Rosuvastatin 10mg.
Just changed to 1.25mg Nebivilol instead of the Biso, with the sanction of the cardio, and finally decided it's the Lisinopril which is probably the cause. My Kidneys are fine as is my cholesterol levels.
I take 125mcg Levothyroxine a day, and 5mcg Liothyronine, 25 mg Spironolactone, my sodium levels are always on the low side, and I take omega 3, electrolytes, magnesium, D3 +K2, B12 shots for PA. Bloods all normal. I also have a BRVO so want to keep the BP on the lower side of normal so not to cause further odema in the retina. Arteries clear as well.
My BP is always around lowish-mid 119-128/ 65-72.
Is there something else I can take instead of the Lisinopril which will not cause tummy upsets, numbness, etc. Happy to try something which is not another tablet, UV light? as the liver, which is also fine at the moment, takes the brunt of my daily meds, and I tend to rattle!!
