I have been taking Lisinopril for about 15 years. I have reduced my dosage to 5mg from 20mg, I run about 15-20km a week, I do 4 aerobics classes a week, eat healthily and drink when I'm out only, so 2 -3 times a week. Suddenly my blood pressure has gone through the roof, 180/100 and today t got up to 210. I don't have any symptoms and I also take Edoxoban after having Atrial Flutter and Fibrillation, which is now stable after ablations. I have a doctor's appointment next Monday but I'm in a vicious circle that I think keeps making it worse! The only thing I have changed is trying to do 30 seconds in the shower with cold water but in my wildest dreams I don't think it's that!
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks so much😊

you might find something that resonates with you in the website of Blood Pressure UK. Possibly. But mainly - it could be anything! Extra salt in your food? Cold weather, so you are drinking less water? Other stressors? Anxiety about …. Well anything?
You’ve got a few days before you see your doctor so do try breathing exercises to bring your anxiety down.
You said you have cut the dosage of medication, was that on medical advice? If not increase the dosage to 10mg to see if that brings it down.
I would cut down on the amount of exercise you are doing until you see the GP- something is putting a strain on your circulatory system. See if you can get an earlier appointment if your B/P remains consistently that high.
