I have taken Edoxaban 60mg and 2.5mg Bisoprolol fumrate since June 2017 when I had an episode of AF-155 heart rate at 2 am. In A&E and found potassium levels very low. A shot into tummy and I reverted on my own. Since then, the meds have been taken regularly and no recurrance until an episode in Nov 2023, when was advised to add 2.5 felodipine to my Lisinopril 20 mg for blood pressure- 1 tablet, and an episode within an hour! Stopped that!!
Have been fine since, and BP now around 116/58 -122/67. I have a BRVO, so want to keep it relatively low.
The Bisoprolol 2.5 betablocker has caused numb fingertips-my phone doesn't always respond to touch, so now going to try-with permission- Nebivilol 1.25 mg instead.Supposed to be a better option. Any thoughts or advice please?

curious as to what BRVO is. I went the other way from nebivolol to bisoprolol and haven’t seen any significant differences. I must remember to ask why they changed it after my open heart surgery.
Branch. Retinal Vein Occlusion- blocked secondary vein behind the eye- there are four, veins which drain fluid from the eye and one has got blocked- luck of the draw! It is treated with injections into the eye to help disperse a buildup of fluid- but it’s not worked well. The build up is pushing against the retina at the back of the eye causing distortion of vision- unless I look at a vertical line with just that eye my brain adjusts so I can’t see the problem! Similar effect as AMD- age related macular degeneration but it won’t de eriorate into that so I shan’t lose sight in that eye. The treatment caused a cataract and so I had that done and I can still read the last but one line on the chart
