getting it off my chest..another Dr.who says my high HR is too much levothyroxine!
Over 4 and half years ago I caught covid for the first time and ended up with high BP/ HR and put ( and left )on 5 hypertensives till this January when finally got a tilt table test and shown to have bad postural hypotension on standing for 8 mins ( accounting for faints), so obviously some BP drugs

Weight Gain
So, there are lots of posts about weight issues and here's another one. I've been on 125mcg Levo since 2013 and feel fine. No problems with sleep, energy etc and no problems with weight until a year or so ago when it became impossible to get the same brand of Levo consistently and sometimes impossible

Increase injections?
I currently self inject once a week - I started about 3 months ago as I was having lots of pins and needles and burning in my hands, arms and feet. GP agreed to 10 weekly injections and I’ve continued with those without mentioning the self injecting. I always had a really strong reaction one or two days

TSH level after TT
Hi all. I had my thyroid removed in June and had my first blood test to check TSH levels last week. The test was at 9.40 am, no levothyroxine for over 24 hours and only water before the blood was taken. Serum TSH level 0.29 mlU/L [0.27 - 4.2] My only other result from before my thyroidectomy was

It is a similar question to many. where to buy? with lab results
I wont but vitamins Bit D antibodies here (as apart from folate) cannot produce methyl folate, B12, Vit D all midrange big (ferritin is always high so might get tested for iron overload), never ever any thyroid antibodies. I will just post the thyroid today, before covid on 3 grains NDT and 2 Grains

Hydroxychloroquine, and high blood sugar
When I agreed to try Hydroxychloroquine I must admit being a little anxious about effects/side-effects. Started in May I think,200mg daily, HbA1c was 54 at last November 2023. HbA1c 30th May was 66, I know Hydroxy wouldn't have done this but just received results from annual diabetic

Anything I should question?
I have had hyperparathyroidism for many years and had a left thyroid lobectomy last year. My endocrinologist tested my thyroid levels in June as she suspected I might have an under active thyroid. Results in May TSH 6.67 (0.27 - 4.2) T4 10.3 (10.8 - 25.5) T3. 4.6. ( 3.1 - 6.8) Was put

Testosterone gel for menopause and it's effect on thyroid hormones etc.
I've recently had an increase in Levothyroxine from 100mcg to 125mcg on alternate days. I've also been given a private prescription for testogel, which I've not started yet as I wanted to wait until I see improvements (I hope) with increase Levothyroxine. I want to know if taking the testogel will knock

Kidney function and hypothyroidism?
My hypothyroidism was finally acknowledged six weeks ago. I've been on 50mcg daily. I've just had the first blood test since starting treatment. My fT4 has 'risen' from 8.8% to 9.3%. My TSH has dropped below 1 (0.7) for the first time according to blood tests going back to 2007. I'm a bit disappointed

Has anyone worked with Functional Thyroid Care?
My GP has withdrawn my 25mcg Levothyroxine he only just prescribed about a month ago on a trial basis because my TSH is fine. The only way I was able to persuade him to let me try 25mcg was I took him printouts from all the thyroid forums I am on and he also is aware that I have been complaining about

Introduction and some initial questions
Hi folks, I've ended up here as I was given some routine blood tests when I started with my health insurance (I'm British but I live in Spain) and it was discovered (rediscovered?!) that I have Hashimotos'. I was first diagnosed with this maybe 15 yrs ago when my kids were little. I was breastfeeding

Thyroid Dr recommendations
I know this forum doesn’t allow replies on this but could anyone please PM me any recommendations? Preferably a Dr who can prescribe Armour and compounded liothyronine. Losing the will with the current Dr I’m with!

Due to stroke 18 April (clot) my mental cognition/compression is faulty!! Would appreciate some help/feedback re:thyroid test results.
Hi all, it's difficult finding the words in my muddled brain post stroke to write this post so please bear with me if I get mixed up with words. Prior to stroke my levo dose was 75/50 alternate days with addition of 30mcg of EFRA daily. When I was hospitalised with stroke I did not manage to take EFRA

Out of range low T4 but normal TSH and T3
Hi all I was on Levothyroxine for sub clinical hypothyroidism during pregnancy. My son is now 4 months and I have been undergoing multiple blood tests to establish what the course of action should now be. My TSH and T3 are within range but my T4 is very low. I will attach results and my ranges to this

TEVA (Almus and Accord) Levothyroxine charges.
Hi everyone hope you are all ok and dealing with our many issues I thought you would like to know that Pharmacies have now changed their rules and I now have to pay £15 per 28 days just to have the generic TEVA brand. The NHS is now starting to charge EXTRA. Now in the 30 years I have been on TEVA
