Tears at the supermarket,well nearly.
What on earth is wrong with me. Mid-week shop so not a lot to get but I just can't cope with the supermarket. Hubby was with me and likes to use the self service checkout, which I do not like and usually make him use them on his own. Today that stupid machine kept on "unexpected item in bagging area."

Does anyone with secondary/central hypo suffer with polyuria?
I am undiagnosed at present (normal bloods!) but have been having hypo symptoms. I am being tested for all sorts at the moment, most recently serum cortisol which came back slightly on the low side. As a result I have been asked to do a 24hr urine test and I was getting concerned that the container is

Hi, I've been switching over from T3 only (60mcgs) to NDT. I feel very hypo even though I'm now on 4 grains and I suspect I'm not converting. However I had some bloods done last week when I was on 3 grains of NDT and my TSH had come up from 0.01 since the last time it was tested on T3 only (as one

Query Levels: Serum Cortisol, B12 , Ft4, Ft3 & TSH.
1. A recent result of a serum cortisol test showed: 288 nmoI/L (250-700). The reference interval applying to specimens taken 7-9AM. (My specimen was actually taken 11.45AM, although the Lab result form states that it was taken 2.13PM) The form further advises: At this level, adrenal hypofunction cannot

NHS tests that may help diagnose adrenal issues
A few people asked what tests my endo ordered in order to find the root cause of my adrenal problems. The ones that are different to the normal lifter function, bone, urea etc. are Heterophile antibody - a test for Epsten Barr Virus/glandular fever. IGF-1 - IGF-1 may be used with other pituitary hormone

How much does blood sugar levels affect cortisol?
I'm wondering if my diet is affecting the way I feel. I've not been eating great lately and not really having regular meals. Yesterday for instance I just snacked on sugary things. I felt irritable and snappy all day. Things bothered me! Then when hubby came home he drove me mad and we had a row. I just

Interpreting results - adrenals
Hi everyone, I've had such great advice here in the past, and have just got a set of results that I have no idea how to interpret. So really hope anyone here can shed some light or suggest starting points for me to read up. I've had thyroid cancer and a total thyroidectomy (the long story in my profile

Tricky stuff this Armour
Since starting armour last November it's been far from smooth sailing. I am currently on 1.5 grains split into two doses. I take the first dose according to CT3M as although my morning cortisol level is fine I have low cortisol in the day and also low DHEA/cortisol ratio (according to my 24 hr saliva

Short synacthen test
Hi all I know blood cortisol isn't accurate however I'm a bit concerned about the results from my latest test. Normally in the morning my blood cot idol has been measured between 200-400mmol. My baseline blood cortisol when I had the test was 635mml (120-800) and it shot up to 872mmol half an hour after
