Life after Leflunomide
Anyway, I've been put back on
Leflunomide
for 6 months with regular attendance every 3 months with my rheumy. I'm slowly tapering off Pred over the next few months so hopefully, everything will work out well. Disappointed? Yes, but it's only 6 months.

Mtx and Leflunomide
Can you take mtx and
leflunomide
together? I’ve been having a terrible flare for 6 weeks and had a telephone chat with rheumatologist today. He wants to increase the mtx injection but I’ve tried it before and any dose over 15mg makes me sick. He said if that didn’t work, he would try
leflunomide

Well! I just don't know what I have.
Have been on MTX injections,
Leflunomide
and now HYD and PRED. The first two I sadly did not tolerate, with LEF certainly the worse, with mouth and throat sores within 48 hours. So, after my last discussion with the Consultant, the idea of UCTD came up.

Cause of diarrhoea and pain after antibiotics?
Is this anything to do with the combination of antibiotics and her prescribed medication,
Leflunomide
etc? Does she need to up the steroids whist she is so incapacitated - I have read that that is often the case. Currently 20mg Pred and 10mg

Branded meds - not allowed...
I have always used the brand Arava
Leflunomide
10mg as it works for me. Drove to hospital Hobbs Pharmacy said not that brand but can have a cheaper one. I am somewhat astounded to be honest.

answer to Jeromekjerome re Leflunomide
There are more and more studies about
Leflunomide
being effective for PMR. I am now down to 8 mg. prednisone with the
Leflunomide
and slowly slowly tapering. I am not a candidate for Methotrexate sp? so the MD said the no. 3 choice when those 2 fail is
Leflunomide
.

Painful Achilles
I’ve just started on
leflunomide
as MTX injections didn’t work. Also on numerous other meds. I’ve got a phone consult with rheumy nurse in a couple of weeks so will ask her, but just wondered if anyone had any possible remedies or anything you did which helped. Thanks 😊

Wondering about Leflunomide side effects
Hi Everyone I started
Leflunomide
a week ago. I thought all was going well until yesterday. I hurt from head to toe and today is even worse, plus I have not slept in 3 nights as I am in so much pain. I am thinking this pain is from the med. and not pmr.

Medication choice?
I have been sent brochures on Sulfasalazine,
Leflunomide
and Hydroxychloroquine. Does anyone have any experience of these drugs please? I know I have to take one of them and at the moment Hydroxy seems the best choice. Any help appreciated please?

Any suggestions for starting Leflunomide
Hi Everyone I will be starting
Leflunomide
on Monday and wondered if anyone would have any suggestions on how to make this experience more pleasant than it sounds. The side effects terrify me.

which alternative (eventually) to pred?
or 'kinder' drugs like Sulfasalazine or
Leflunomide
. Idea being to up pred to 15 for couple of weeks then taper again whilst gently introducing new drug. I've looked at both and they don't seem great - but whats the alternative? I don't really want to increase pred for any length of time....

Poor services at hospital and my RA is deteriorating badly
Hi Everyone, I have now been 5 months on Hyrimoz with
leflunomide
and prednisolone and hydroxychloroquine. I was switched to the biologic because I had been on 3 DMARDs for several years before without success.
